 For all of the following benchmarks, I'll be using an Intel Core i7-2600K overclocked to 3.4GHz, 16GB of 1600MHz DDR3 and of course, the 1060 Gaming X in OC mode. All that Lynx can do is pop it in one hand, cross the bend and then switch to this Mini Oh You You You A Total must download program after installing the gaming X is definitely the MSI gaming app It allows you to do many things including changing between the three modes that I mentioned earlier OC gaming and silent but by far the coolest thing that it does is allow you to create your own custom LED effects Using the RGB LED on the side of the GPU behind the MSI logo and the red LEDs on the fan shroud Both can be controlled independently with different effects running simultaneously Including breathing flashing and music mode. What to choose for RX 580?

Worked fine until a surge seems to have blown it out

 No problems whatsoever Temperature wise it was really cool I mean you saw all the really amazing tech that MSI packed into this graphics card and the max temperature I saw during my testing was around 65 degrees, which is really really cool Especially in comparison to some other cars which I've seen hitting like 80 degrees, which is quite hot in comparison So I miss I've done a really really great job of creating a really cool card Now like I said, I did only test at 1080p and I would have loved to have tested 1440 or 2160 But at the minute, I just don't have the monitor to test that maybe in the future I will get it one and be able to test some graphics cards again and Show their full potential right guys.  No problems whatsoever So we're talking we're getting really smooth gameplay We're talking no frame drops really smooth and fluid performance and obviously I keep v-sync on just to keep it nice and smooth But I actually did turn v-sync off just to see what it was actually capable of and in games like Batman Arkham Knight Tomb Raider the latest version and just take games like it was getting around 80 frames per second average Which is really really impressive for a card at this price No, obviously it is designed for like 1440p gaming as well Like I said, I couldn't really test that with my monitor But I have seen from other videos that it copes really really well at this Graphics saying but like I said for 1080p is an absolute beast 1080p gaming all day ultra settings no problem whatsoever all the AAA titles no problems He'll play them all fine. Right guys, so that is pretty much it. So what do I think of this graphics card? Well for around 280 pound UK $300 us it is a fantastic card now 1080p gaming it will do all day I mean like you saw from those benchmark results. I was getting around hundred frames per second average across the board I mean some games did drop below that but a hundred frames per second is amazing So if you've got a 60 Hertz monitor stick v-sync on and you're just going to be doing that all day

 It's also got LED control So obviously, you know this card has RGB lights on it So you can actually control the color the effects and also the animations on your graphics card It's also got something called OSD Which is a gaming overlay and what that'll do is just overlay some different information in game So that'll give you like your temperature your clock speed and all that good stuff if you want it in the corner of your game If you want to just keep a check on your graphics card while you're gaming So next up we've got something called Dragon Eye and what Dragon Eye enables you to do is play your games and watch either YouTube or twitch Simultaneously, so that means if you've got a single monitor set up You can actually watch twitch and game at the same time using this technology All that you do is simply add the URL choose your size choose your volume You can set some hot keys and that'll enable you to watch your favorite streams whilst gaming Which I think is pretty awesome And it's also got cooler boost which essentially just rapidly boosts up the fans and cools your graphics card down If it starts getting a little bit too hot, it's also got options for VR and MSI peripherals as well So let's say go back to the graphics card now and let's say take a look closely at it So it's got a twin for us a sick design. So that is the fans and that just is designed to give you optimum Airflow and cooling for your card while obviously in gaming.0 and that gives you a 22% more pressure for again more optimal cooling So you can see MSI has put a lot of effort into Creating a really good system for creating a cooler graphics card and it works really really well It also has the zero frozen technology and that actually stops the fans on low load So that means like I said when you're browsing the web and when you're doing less intense tasks like even some games It doesn't boost the fans up because it doesn't need them to cool the graphics card down And this will actually keep your fans off anything under 60 degrees Which I think is really impressive and again your fans are not going to be boosted up unless your graphics card really needs to cool Down now guys. Cyberpunk 2077 Megathread

  Thoughts:  Both cards perform fantastic in an optimal setting. For example, both 1060s (and an RX480) bottleneck roughly 20+ FPS with my FX6300 Build.  Frame rates not near as smooth in the AMD FX 6300 Build. (I love AMD, I am not a fan boy of either AMD or INTEL)  ----------------------------------------------------------  Gigabyte Xtreme 1060 PROS: -Rock Solid company / Great looking card / over performs / silent fans (nothing like the windforce Gigabyte fans / highest core clock of all 1060s available out of the box

MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X6: $259 --------------------------------------------------------------  Base Clock of 1569 mhz with a boost of 1809 mhz. Overclocked itself to 2000 mhz out of the box. OC'd manually to 2200 mhz with MSI Afterburner, and I feel I could have gone further, Just stopped because not much more to prove.Only changed core clock numbers!  ____________________________________  Both of these cards performed amazingly in my 2 systems:  The Gigabyte 1060 is in an Intel I5 6600k / Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 Motherboard, 16gb DDR4 3000, SSD, AIO Corsair  The MSI 1060 is in an Intel I5 7600k / MSI Z270 SLI Plus Motherboard, 16gb DDR4 3000, SSD, AIO Corsair  These systems were near identical

MSI is a trusted brand, here is my thoughts on this vs a close competitor card:

 Now this is a game that you could definitely lower those settings all the way down to all low if you want to run on a optimized like esports competitive experience and probably get close to 100 FPS depending on what CPU you have paired with it. As long as it's a somewhat mid-range CPU you're going to get very similar results to what we have right here and I really do think at the given price point around 140 to 150 bucks right now. It's really hard to beat something like the 1066 gig. Next up in a game that is absolutely worst case scenario for something like this card Cyberpunk medium settings with the built-in benchmark we actually end up getting an average of 62 FPS

 So as Matt said, graphics cards they are coming down in price but a 1066gig does perform pretty close to a 1650 Super 4gig so that kind of leaves the question of how much are you paying. If you can get a 1060 for like the $150 to under $200 mark that still is better than 1650s at the moment. So what we're going to be doing is throwing this graphics card in our lovely test bench right here which if you haven't seen our benchmark videos. Inside this test bench we have the Ryzen 5 5600G with 16 gigs of RAM at 3600MHz

 Can my PC play Fortnite and as you can see it has no problem getting a high refresh rate experience. So overall the 1066 gig is still a very good card for the money again it all depends on price just like this GPU market right now it all depends on price and if you're going to get the most FPS for your dollar but I think at the $140 to $150 price point and maybe even lower at the time that this video is released I think the 1066 gig still has a place in the markets. Now we finish the benchmarking section today's video how to bring Jackson back in here to wrap this video up real quick. So after doing some testing we think one of the best parts about this card is the fact that it can still play pretty much any game at 1080p of course you are going to have to modify some settings if you want to play those AAA titles but of course games like Cyberpunk Apex Legends Call of Duty you are going to have to go to like low medium settings at 1080p to maintain over 60 FPS and obviously this is not going to be a AAA high refresh rate graphics card due to the fact that you're only spending $150

 Once again this is a very demanding game and pulling on an average of 60 FPS shows that this is going to be a good card for a long while especially in most games that are really graphically demanding you at least at 1080p can get 60 plus FPS which is no easy feat especially in Cyberpunk. In the last game we decided to test was Fortnite epic view distance everything else on low in DX 12 mode and yes of course for tonight I do have to give the disclaimer is very CPU dependent but we like to run this test because a lot of people want to know well I have a CPU that dedicated GPU and I need a placeholder option right now while waiting for prices to drop. Can my PC play Fortnite and as you can see it has no problem getting a high refresh rate experience. So overall the 1066 gig is still a very good card for the money again it all depends on price just like this GPU market right now it all depends on price and if you're going to get the most FPS for your dollar but I think at the $140 to $150 price point and maybe even lower at the time that this video is released I think the 1066 gig still has a place in the markets
