No cleaning required so I can get on the move very quickly in the mornings and lunch breaks take like 15 minutes. For trips where I want to actually put ingredients together and cook something I have an msr pocket rocket and just keep that along with a cleaning kit and the fuel in an msr cooking pot that I have. For car camping I don't use either of them - usually I just have one of those single burner butane fueled stoves and a propane grill. If I had to have one stove and only one, I'd go with an MSR Whisperlite.

I have a Jetboil Flash system and it seems to be more inefficient in snow and anything really under 0°. Any tips on how to make it more efficient or just cooking system recommendations that are good for winter?

but they pump out good heat in the colder weather. I use the MSR WhisperLite stove, and it has been a workhorse - really serves me well. It is pricier to buy, plus you have to buy the fuel bottles, but once you have made the up front investment the lower cost of fuel over the life of the stove makes the overall cost less than for a propane stove.
