 So first of all, let's start with the most straightforward, the Original Angel Eau de Parfum. This was launched in 1992, so really quite a long time ago now and a lot of people say that it reminds them of the 90s. It's really 90s perfume and it's very much made itself a classic in the perfume industry. Lots of people still wear this, it's kind of timeless and I believe it was the first ever blue perfume

 They're the same fragrance just in limited edition bottles like at the moment. but it's a pinky peachy color, you know, and the sort of whole different marketing campaign. So what I expected is that it would be very different. It's smelling to Angel when, in fact, I don't think it is that different

 If you're sick of Angel, then it's one to try. And I think: rather than having just the simple chocolatey praline Enos, this has a lot more hazelnut in it. So if you like those nutty perfumes perhaps over the winter Christmas time when that sort of nutty smell can be quite nice, then perhaps this could be a good time to be using it. Or if you're a nut fan, then you'll probably prefer this to normal Angel

 and I wouldn't say that one particular one completely dominates. so there are some that you really can smell more than others. So the thing that Angel is kind of famous for is the fact that it has a huge amount of patchouli in here and that's probably the main smell that you get. But along with that patchouli, you get a load of gourmand sweet smells

 I did compare this bottle to my previous (empty) bottle and they are exactly the same, with the only exception being a number printed on the back of the bottle just below the cap - they are two different numbers, but the font and color of the text is the same. I first purchased this (Angel 1.7 oz EDP spray) over a year ago and it came with a code you can register on the Mugler website. This time around, I purchased from the same listing, the Prime eligible one that is fulfilled by Amazon, hovering right around $50. Upon opening this box, however, there is a sticker with a barcode (no numbers) over the spot where the registration code would have been

 It was very strong when I first sprayed it, but thankfully did not have the alcohol scent that you sometimes get with perfume. I'm not exactly a perfume connoisseur, but if there is any difference here in smell it is too minimal for me to notice. Then again, it has been a long time since I've worn this fragrance, so like I said, I can't be 100% certain.  I guess I knew going into this purchase that I was taking my chances

I ordered from Amazon hoping I might receive an older version of the fragrance as it’s been reformulated but I did indeed receive a newer bottle. If you love the latest version of Angel get it here, it’s way cheaper and legit.

Not like before...

Angel is my signature scent and I've been wearing it forever (years and years). When I came across the gift set with the refillable perfume, body wash and lotion for such a low price I had to get two! My package just arrived and I think I've gotten two different Angel's. One smells wonderful and has the staying power I love, using one good squirt. The other however, I believe may have been tampered with

Four stars and heres why..

 At first it had a note I didn't like, but that has subsided into a softer scent. The only reason I didn't give it a five was the seller didn't send the set they had pictured and I really love the star shaped bottles. I only got the big star shaped one. The smaller one is the flatter one which was a disappointment

 I have never smelled Angel before so I don't have anything to compare it to. I used to wear the original Lauren which had a very unique woodsy scent but Ralph Lauren changed the formula on it. Most perfumes are very floral which I don't care for. I thought this would be a unique perfume

 I haven't tried to register it or anything. The bigger bottle had a serial number engraved in it. I have never smelled Angel before so I don't have anything to compare it to. I used to wear the original Lauren which had a very unique woodsy scent but Ralph Lauren changed the formula on it

Seems like the real deal....

 In stores it smelt fresher, spicier and softer. This one was just loud and made me want to barf. While I couldn't return it, because it was "hazardous material", I was extremely dissatisfied with my purchase. Maybe this Angel perfume was just old or plain old fake

 And while the bottle seemed to be proper in shape, the actual scent was awful. It smelled like a cheap, watery, and nauseating version of the actual Angel I've smelled in stores. In stores it smelt fresher, spicier and softer. This one was just loud and made me want to barf

 The scent smells like Angel, but not as lasting. I am using it and learning my lesson. I would NOT purchase this perfume again from this seller.

 The box was wrapped in plastic with the tell-tale sticker on the end. Upon opening, the only thing that bothered me was that the cardboard insert was damaged. It looked as if someome took the Angel star bottle and crammed it in the box crushing the cardboard. I know that the TRUE Angel packaging company would NOT let this leave the their plant this way

Cap Broke!

  Worst case, it's counterfeit, possibly in reused packaging. Best case, it's gray market what was stored improperly and has suffered heat/age-related damage. I would not buy again.

I am pretty sure that the bottle that I received was counterfeit, despite buying directly from Amazon. I have been buying this perfume since it launched in 1992, and I am very familiar with the product.  I usually buy it in a local department store, but was happy to find it on here. I thought that buying from Amazon, and not a third party seller, would ensure authenticity, but that isn't the case

  I did try a spray of the perfume, hoping for the best case scenario (the bottle was gray market, with identifying codes stripped so that they can't be traced to the original retailer). The perfume smelled sharper and more "green" than my authentic bottle purchased two months ago. The dry down was reasonably close to authentic, but it faded completely within two hours. I wear this perfume regularly, and the authentic EDP always lasts 8+ hours with my skin chemistry

Concerns about authenticity of this product.

 I know what this perfume is SUPPOSED to smell like, I have a bottle of it left over which I purchased in person at Macy's. This is VERY BAD business and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND people NOT to purchase anything from this BOGUS COMPANY.  I received the 1.7 oz bottle of Angel perfume

 Please know you received the correct spray and it does not in any way smell in a negative manner. It is the original perfume and it is not defective in any way. Any claims that it smells like "bug spray" are absurd. As per our return policy, used items may not be returned or exchanged
