*Minimul pack* \- my only complaint about this pack is that both the snack pouch on the bottom where I carried the day's food and the side pockets have pretty loose elastic. I ended up carrying multiple things in the side pockets so that my water bottles would stay put, and also ended up taking the squatter dasani water bottles on this trip, rather than the slim smartwater. *Nemo Hornet 2p* \- first rainy trip with it.

I also appreciate that you can remove the saddlebags, which is great when we stop for breaks. The built in handle has also helped us climb ladders and do some scrambles that otherwise would have been tricky. * **Shelter:** She sleeps next to me in our TT Stratospire Li, which is plenty of room. Previously used the Nemo Hornet 2P, which was also fine on space, but much more easily punctured by her nails.

I use a Nemo hornet 2p tent. It has the benefit of being a lightweight tent and is big enough to keep myself and my gear with me. It should be big enough to bring a dog with you too. It was really dry in several storms too.

I had a similar experience with my Hornet 2P. I mailed in my poles that had a chip in one piece after about three years of use, expecting to pay a repair fee because it’s after warrantee. NEMO replaced the broken piece, redid the bungee and mailed it back for free!.

If you want stupid light, look at the Nemo Hornet. Another fantastic brand is Big Agnes and you can look at the Copper Spur HV UL2 or the Tiger Wall UL2. If you want to save a little coin but sacrifice for weight, you can look at the Marmot Tungsten 2P or the Sierra Design Meteor 2.
