Hey all.. looking for some advice on what vacuumslear I should get to go with my Sous Vide. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Sous vide, but now I am looking for a vacuumsealer.

  I'm sure the lower foam is available somewhere and I know it can be replaced easily. I just wouldn't have expected it to stick, I cleaned the machine and seal after use and I guess since I latched the top to the bottom for storage allowed the upper and lower foam stick to eachother slightlyou.  Now I store the machine with the top not latched and have not had an issue with the upper and lower foam sticking to cause product/usability issue.  All in all, I am happy with the machine and it's performance prior to the foam seal issue

$200 is my personal budget to get the essentials for doing sous vide, including the vide itself.   What do y'all recommend for the unit itself, and associated basic.

I have a cooler I use for resting my smoked meets, and plan to do the ping-pong ball method for longer cooks, so I'm covered in that area idea wise.

 But because that little spot exists, I don't always get a proper vacuum seal and it will let air into the bag when it's in the freezer, even when I reseal the bag in a slightly different spot. Overall it's a decent machine, but because of that spot on the element and the non-removeable tray, I give it 3 stars.

Doesn't always make an air tight seal, tray is not removeable

..but I have to see! I will say it works really great_so far_ for it being the cheaper model so that using it makes it quit easy. I would say if you do not have the time to search for accessories get one that has them!

I have not had it enough to really say much about, but so far it works great. Good is that it works and does the job so far.  it does what it says.

Poor suction. The bag does not compress fully over prior to sealing leaving air around the product you're preserving.

 Ok great so that takes care of using the canister. Properly using a plastic bag and sealing it key issues make sure the inside suction nipple you can easily see on the right side does not get covered up or the bag will not get air sucked out of it properly or seal properly also it seems when one lifts the lid they you place the bag over the entire area there this is hard to explain ok do not put the edge of the bag past the nipple and do not cover the nipple there is a kind of rectangle area that you can put the bag in put it halfway in there. Just be prepared to do a lot of trial and error. Documentation is minimal

 Read the buttons and do what they say for example the vacuum and seal button means it will suck out air and seal the bag - Oh wait a minute or more between each bag so the sealer heats up again some of this is explained some is not. Have Fun - it is a good item to own just has minimal documentation.
