 I am installing an Amazon ring flood light camera on my garage and need to connect it to the WIFI network.  I haven't installed the ring camera yet but I was able to connect my laptop to the WIFI extender in the garage and the internet from inside the house. Kinda convoluted but it works.

 The extender is about 45 to 50 feet from the main router and seems to pick up the signal just fine. Now the speed advertised is way higher than I have been able to achieve. Using the 5G signal directly from my router I get download speeds of around 550mbps. Using the range extender I get between 100mbps and 110mbps

The speed tests on the extender were done standing withing 2 feet of the extender, 10 feet away, and about 20 feet (line of sight) and the download speeds were pretty constant. I'm using the 2.4 ghz to communicate with the router and then the 5 GHz to communicate with devices (you can do opposite signals config of what I did if you want)
