Example, you can take the Neumann u87 and re-create the same signal with an Eq for the NT1 and it’ll sound very, very close to the actual Neumann U87. It’s a very versatile mic, great quality, and won’t KO your wallet.

You (not you specifically, the royal you) are producing lossy format audio in what is probably not a professional recording environment practicing what is probably not great mic technique to serve an audience that very very likely couldn't tell the difference between a Neumann U87 and a Samson Q2U. Unless you are working with pro VO talent, in a professionally treated space, and producing something as grand as an audio drama (or music, of course), I can absolutely promise you, as a guy who has owned three studios and has made literally more than a million dollars in the audio space, as far as dialogue-driven podcasts are concerned, once you cross that $70 threshold, from the consumer's perspective, it doesn't matter. Seriously.
