 The Shaper Twin has the same overall feel as other NeverSummer boards which means they have an easy and catch free feel when you're riding with a flat base but very strong edge hold once you do start a turn. These have a very good grip even in hard snow especially in the middle of a turn without needing all the effort that you would have to put in to get similar hold from a camber board. At speed the board feels quite solid but to get the most stable feel I had to make sure that my weight was always centered. The tail felt noticeably stiffer than the nose so getting decent ollies wasn't too much work

 To use the extra inserts you'll need bindings that have a 4x4 mounting pattern so they won't be any good if you have bindings that use a mini disc with a 4x2. Other than that it has a medium flex, a bunch of carbon and a sintered base. The Shaper Twin has the same overall feel as other NeverSummer boards which means they have an easy and catch free feel when you're riding with a flat base but very strong edge hold once you do start a turn. I recently busted my TRice, 157W Camber-Rocker-Camber, and am looking for a new board. I've been riding park more but love a good pow day. My number 1 option right now is the Solomon Ultrafear. Has anyone had any experience with this board or any other recommendations?

The Best Carving Board of 2018 Reviewed - Never Summer's Shaper Twin With Scotty James

I’ve basically only rode one board and it was a slash brainstorm 151 (2015). Way too small for me but I made it work. I’m 5’ 11”, roughly 155lbs with a size 11.5 boot to put it in perspective. 

not really in the park too much, prefer high speed/tree runs/quick carves/etc, so I was looking at the capita super doa. Problem is I need a wide, only wide they offer comes in 155 and 158. 

Is 155 going to be too short for me ? I’m used to a short board keep in mind but being that I’m not in the park too much, would a 158 be better for me? 

Any other board suggestions would also be appreciated. Was considering

Never Summer Shaper Twin Review: Women’s Park Winner – Good Wood Snowboard Test 2018-2019

My first new board in 10 years...

Finally looking to upgrade from my 15+ year old beginner board. Here's some context on me, where I ride, what I ride (style-wise).

Me: 6', 170 lbs, going into 3rd year of riding but comfortable hitting blacks on the hills I ride. Started riding boxes, rails, doing small jumps, doing tree runs, buttering, and doing flatland 180s last year.

Where I ride: currently midwest so mostly groomers. Snow in WI is usually hard-packed/icy, and never powder-like. Occasionally there's a nice layer of soft snow though. (So definitely not looking for a powder board, but a board that I can at least use on powder occasionally is a plus).

What I ride (style-wise): I've found I prefer playful runs with natural features, but also want to be able to do small jumps, rails, and boxes. I also really enjoy tree runs/off of the groomers, but have found my current board too long and stiff for comfortably maneuvering in tight/bumpy areas. Tree runs in the midwest tend to get packed down a bit. I ride switch 33% of the time hence the true twin, and I'd like a board I can butter with and also comfortably do 180s/360s at some point.

Boards I've looked at: Bataleon Evil Twin, GNU Riders Choice, Ride Twinpig, GNU Headspace, LibTech Box Knife, Capita DOA/Super DOA, Capita Asymulator. I know there were more I looked at last year but I can't remember them. Leaning towards the Bataleon.

Any insights/suggestions are highly appreciated!
