There is a small snag-free velcro patch on the elastic strap, which seems to imply that it isn't meant to be adjusted. We measured the unstretched circumference to be around 20.5 inches. When it fits properly, it does its job well. 
Testers with smaller faces had more of a struggle with this mask staying in place. Light tends to leak in by the nose and eventually everywhere if you move around a lot. The velcro can be adjusted slightly by misaligning it, but this adds or subtracts only an inch or so. If you attach the velcro to any of the other parts of the strap, then it begins to pull apart the fabric. Overall, the ultralight fabric is quite comfortable, and we love the deep contours for maximum eyelash room. Ideal for ultralight travel and for those wishing to spend the least for more-than-fair quality, we feel the Nidra offers the top comfort for its price point.

  Why do I keep buying it? Because it is very comfortable when I am falling asleep on my side -- the fabric is soft and the mask does not touch my eyes. But it does fall off every night, so I have to find it in the darkness, put it back on, and go back to sleep. I have tried tightening the straps, but then it is not as comfortable. In terms of longevity, it starts falling apart in about 100 nights

 You can adjust the tightness here using this little Velcro strap on the back, so it can fit people with all different head sizes. And I find it works great, it really does shut out the light, but it's nice to not feel like it's kind of pressing against your eyes. It's got, again, this contoured space in there that just makes it really easy to wear all night, and really does block out the light, and I find that it really helps with my sleep.

 So it creates this little space while still totally blocking out the light, because especially around the nose, it's got plenty of space here to block out the incoming light. So it makes it totally dark, but it still allows you to move your eyes around, and it doesn't kind of smush down on your eyelids and eyelashes. So it's very comfortable, it makes it easier to get deep sleep, in my experience. And the fabric on here is nice and cushiony too, so it's very comfortable to wear all night

Needs Cutting To Work.

Hard to fit and only one band

 If I pulled it down to where it covered my eyes comfortably, it pressed against my nose uncomfortably. If I loosened it, it didn’t stay on, and if I rested it on the bridge of my nose, it was halfway up my forehead. Just not for me! Went with the MZOO eye mask instead.
