 So if you have a remote of one of the Wireless Nikon remotes, it will be able you'll be able to stand behind the camera and trigger it as well as in front of the camera and trigger it. Because there was one right here on the front of the camera: now that's something that will come in handy when you are shooting wirelessly or, if you're in front of the camera, doing a group shot and you want to be in it. You want to press the button and have a line of sight and some of the older models. They only had it in the front, so you had a really angle, the remote to get the picture right

 Now you have another infrared receiver. You'Ve got a light and this is a autofocus light. It'S going to help you focus in low-light situations. You can turn that off or on from the menu mode

 You have a landscape mode. You have a little kid mode, which is for like portraits of kids, you have a running person which is for sports or action and a macro setting and then effects effects are what you're going to use when you're in video mode there's a few different cool effects. There'S the color thingamabob or I'm going to explain that in part two, then you have your manual aperture priority, shutter priority and program. This is your flash that's going to pop up

 There'S no reason to leave it on there to trickle to keep cycling through and keep putting. You know lose some power put some power on it's. Just the best battery thing to do is just let it charge. Take it off recharge it when you need it to recharge and you're good to go when you're changing lenses turn off the camera

Nikon D5100 Basic Guide

No this is over priced. A good rule of thumb is if the seller puts emphasis on the original purchase price then theybare trying to sell it for too much

I’m looking into buying a used camera for nature/landscape photography. I found this one on a local Facebook marketplace listing and was wondering if it’s a good deal at $300.

 For those who do not know how to take good pictures, the extra cost will not help them improve picture quality much, as they may not even fully utilize the capacity of the lower entry level cameras while they are less expensive. For those who are serious about photography, a lot of features are either trivial (e.g., scene selection, live view, in-camera editing, etc

  Overall, the D5100 is a good camera, but it is not the best in combination of features and price: both enthusiast and non-enthusiasts will pay for many features they do not need, in different ways. The problem is camera manufacturers are trying to blend different needs instead of separating them in the entry level DSLR section.

 For some people, the D5100 offers high ISO for dark objects, but it will be wiser to spend the extra money on a good lens, e.g., the 50mm/f1.8D, 50mm/f1

You can see the link or the images right below just click on those you can download the full res shots, I'd venture to say it's gon na be pretty pretty similar to what the d7000 can do. I love that there's incremental steps here, 100, 125, 200 and then 250. I love having the increments for the ISO that you can choose yourself

 If you're looking to just do interviews - and it's not really heavily heavy, you know heavy shooting and you're really just looking for a video camera. This is good at 799 body only get a bunch of batteries has the rotating screen, so you can do while an interview is going. If you set up yourself, you can watch the screen and make sure your framing and Composition is still right, while you're recording the mic in is perfect. You could use that beach Tek

 I'M gon na do a whole video with it and then I'm gon na give you close-up shots of this camera so that you can see the different features and all of that. So let's unbox you've got the kit lens we're not even going to talk about it. As usual, we're just gon na talk about this body. I mean the first thing

 I wouldn't put money into grips on the lower end bodies. I would wait till you get up into like a third 7000 or the higher end bodies, because that's where you want to put your you know, you want to invest your money in the low end when you're getting glass as you move up, then a grips gon Na come in handy, but when you're first starting out grips wouldn't be used for this and yeah and there's no place to put a grip just like this. Has this spot right here they wouldn't put a grip on this bad boy. So it's one SD card comparison, wise, we're gon na put the images together and see 7,000 verse this and what I think it should be pretty similar in image, quality and video quality, just not as good focusing as a twenty eleven points

Nikon D5100 Review

So, I have a few questions, mostly about lens interchangeability. I get the idea from what I've read that if I get a Panasonic lens I can use it on an Olympus body without an adapter, and vice-versa. Is this correct? Could I use a Nikon DX zoom, or a Canon zoom, with an adapter?

Finally, for those of you reading this who have a M4/3 camera system, are you satisfied with it? Is image quality up to snuff? How big a print is possible without loss of quality?

 Yes, it has D7000 sensor on it and image quality is better than almost any entry and mid-lvele DSLR on the market (except Nikon D7000 and Sony A77 which share the identical sensor) but this great image quality at this low price comes at a price BUILD QUALITY  1. Camera is not weather sealed, means you may not use it outside even in drizzle. You may say it can sustain the drizzle. Internal parts may sustain but chances to ruin the flip-out LCD screen are high

  3. No internal focus motor means you may not use so many used but awesome older Nikon lenses. Imagine there is a "Made in Japan" used prime lens on Ebay which worth 1000, it's for sale for 150, you want it by your heart but can't buy it because cant use it! It's a big deal. don't underestimate this

Get D7000 instead

I am curious about whether it is worth me upgrading from a D5100 to a Z50 or Z5. I've had the camera for quite some time so I've accumulated quite a few lenses that I love.  Given the age of the D5100 I probably wouldn't get much for it selling it used, so I guess I will just be keeping it. I know I can use the FTZ adapter and I would need FX lenses to take full advantage of the Z5's full frame sensor. Any advice is appreciated.

D5100 to Z50 or Z5

A professional photographer quick-review: I tried different lenses on the D5100 camera: the kit lens (low quality), some old 35mm Nikon prime lenses and the high quality Wide Angle 10.5mm. Results: the old prime lenses gave the sharpest results as usual but none of the Nikon lenses I tested came even close to matching the ultra high resolution I got from the Canon Rebel T3i with the included kit lens. Other than the softness, this is a great camera for low light situations

Also punched in there's a whole lot of grain which will detract from your sharpness, are you sure you shot this at ISO100 as it looks far too noisy to be 100? Also at 1/800 of a second that seems too fast to get such a bright image on a cloudy day for your ISO to be only 100. Unless did you push the exposure in post? As that could bring out the noise.

Finally your lens doesn't appear all that great, there's a lot of CA (chromatic aberration) around the edges which will detract from overall sharpness, kit lenses are there to get you started, I would strongly recommend getting a prime lens in the field of view you shoot at most (my 35mm f/1.8 was rarely off my d5100 - and that f/1.8 is great for bokeh on shallow depth of field - if you want something more flexible though I had a Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 which also far outperformed the kit lens, but I'd strongly recommend primes for their better IQ), my (now ex) partner had a d3200 (I bought her as a gift when her Olympus died, made sense we could share lenses, gifted the kit lens when we broke up as I didn't want to keep that either

Anyone tell me what Im doing wrong here? I wanted the whole shot to be sharp but only got a small ring in focus. Shot at f5, ISO 100, 27mm, 1/800

 Gosh I hate that! I have a Canon G10 which is more capable - at least it has an ISO and exposure dial right there on the top - no menus no nothing, and it is just a fancy point-and-shoot.  As for the video, I appreciated the fact that the D5100 takes 1080p at 30FPS unlike the D7000 which maxes out at 24FPS. I do video with a far more capable dedicated video camera, so I didn't really bother with this. But from the little I saw, the built-in microphone was weak and the auto-focus was sluggish, inaccurate and loud ( you can hear the focusing in your video)

 But the D5100 was newer and it had some things the D7000 does not have that I thought were important to me:  1. A swivel screen (I've never had a still camera with that). I am upgrading from a D70. 2

 Well, the idea with in-camera HDR was a real selling point for me on the D5100. As of this writing, I am not aware of any other camera that does this (I'm sure someone will correct me?). So this may be the #1 reason I ended up getting the D5100 and it is the #1 I returned it. If you look at Nikon's website they advertise this feature and show an example of a lighthouse - the result is stunning, just as you would expect from HDR

 Beautiful color, sharp, clean and excellent light sensitivity. You really will have a hard time complaining.  IN CONCLUSION: Although it "feels" like a toy after you hold the D7000, it is a well-built camera that takes excellent pictures and can do most of the same things the D90 and D7000 are capable of - you just have to hunt for the stuff you need. I do not like hunting for things when a photo-opportunity arises

It's a good camera with a few reservations (especailly the HDR feature)
