Nikon D80

The D80 is a fine camera for street photography. In fact, I used the predecessor, the D70 for 4 years and thousands of street/candid images. To date and considering upgrades from the D70 to a D300, D810, and now a D850, many of those images from the earliest digital I owned are not only comparable, but stellar shots. Use it til you outgrow it.

I pictured mostly of motorsport pictures so I need fast and precise AF which D80 don't have too good. I don't have precised budget, but rule cheaper better is always good, maximum budget which i can spend it around D7200 used one. Lens which I have is Nikkor AF-S 70-300 f/4.5-5.6g if-ed vr and prime Nikkor AF 50 1.8, also Kit one 18-135, but I don't use it too much now.

And lenses are back-compatible going back decades. I use a Nikon D80 which can take 4K resolution stills on a 10MP sensor and that's a DSLR from 2006. The battery still holds a charge for days, but the low light performance was never that good. So a tripod and a remote shutter is a must for night shooting, but those things are cheap and easy to use.

Personally I find the controls and overall user experience on this camera to be pretty unsatisfying, and I would probably have had a hard time getting invested in photography as a hobby if this was the first camera I used. If you think there's any chance you might find photography interesting outside of the class, a small step up to a Nikon D80 or Canon Rebel T2i won't cost much more, and might even make the class more enjoyable.

The only thing I'd recommend in addition is a used 35mm DX Prime lens from Nikon, (another $100). Another option at that dirt cheap price point is a Nikon D90 or Nikon D80. These open you up to the cheaper but still good AF-D lenses. These lenses do not have a motor inside them, but a camera like the D90 or D80 has a built in motor for those lenses.
