 So another thing that is good that it's often overlooked is there is a pause button here, so some of the other ones you just pull it out and it automatically pauses. This particular one has a very explicit start and pause. So if you're in the middle of cooking, you could actually pause it, but just like any of these buttons, if you're in the middle of anything - and you want to change the temperature it'll automatically kick in. So keep that in mind that that is a good plus feature of this, even with the time, if you just want to increase the time in the middle of cooking, you can do that

Mixed feelings

 Just hit the power button Okay, so let's cook some golden crispy crowns very simple. So set the temperature In about 20 minutes All right, then I'm gonna hit the start button So we'll kind of see how these do along the way So the machine is relatively quiet the air is going to get sucked in up here So don't restrict this area up here and you do get just a little bit the air coming out of the back here is pretty hot But it's not real forceful, but it is really hot I really love the small footprint of this air fryer. So yeah, it's around 10 and a half inches Height wise you're almost about 13 and a half inches Okay, so it's been about six minutes

 There's your cooking surface It's got a fan and a heating element right above there, but this works really well It's got a little tray that comes out to keep your food off the bottom and This is exactly about eight and a quarter inches and depth wise you're looking at about three and three quarters This is like a nonstick coating that cleans up very easy and Then it slides in and out very easy. Okay, so let's take a look at the control panel It's got a power button So you first turn it on that kind of turns the display on now you're gonna pick either air fryer Roast Reheat or dehydrate. I typically use air fryer. You can change the temperature from 400 all the way down to 300 and then you can do the time 20 these are minutes 22 minutes 19 18 minutes and then when you're ready to start you just hit the start button And it kind of beeps at you to let you know and then that's the countdown from your time that you set Now if you want to stop it just hit pause and that kind of pauses it You can kind of open up and see what's going on when you're all done

 So I just hit start Okay, so it's been about halfway through I've got a temperature probe. Let's check the temperature of the salmon So we're at a 115 We need to check the temperature of the salmon So we're at a 115 we need to get that to about 145 Okay, so there's about three minutes left. Let's take a look 140 156 Yeah, i'd say it's done let's go ahead and hit stop Okay, so let's take the fish out non-stick Non-stick Okay, so let's cut it open see how it did That's a very good piece of salmon. Yeah, just right And again hit the power switch turn it off clean up is not going to be a problem

I LOVE MY Ninja Air Fryer AF101 REVIEW & HOW TO COOK ...

... I keep reading horror stories (well, reviews...) of people which have theirs melt, catch fire or have a strong plastic smell when in use...

This seems to affect all the main brands available around here (Ninja, Cosori, etc..).

Are the people having these problems just unlucky (they got a lemon), doing something wrong or are most air fryers built so cheaply that this is just one of the possible risks..

Some people also complain that some of these air fryers use teflon instead of ceramic but isn't teflon just a problem at temperatures air fryers will not reach?

Tempted to buy an air fryer but...

 This is a tricky one, but you can hear the element cycle on and off meaning the temperature is varying. In my experience, the nicer air fryers have a variable heat element (like your stove top) and the element heats and remains constant.  Overall, it does a good job air frying, but there are better designed fryers out there.

hi! you might remember my [post](https://www.reddit.com/r/airfryer/comments/m0r5ux/cant_choose_between_cosori_and_ninja_send_help/) from like a week ago where i asked about two models of airfryer that i'm taking in consideration for my next purchase, since i'm sending back my princess aero xl with its crappy coating.  
now, to summarise: one has a better coating that is made of ceramic (ninja 5.2l), the other seems to be the standard (cosori 5.5l) adopted by almost every youtuber or online videomaker (and seems better space-wise since it's squared). 

the winner of the poll was the ninja for a few votes, but the reason i'm still not sure about the choice is:  the cosori to me seems to have better airflow, since it has more holes on the bottom and has large holes on the sides (while the ninja only has holes on the bottom). since also the well-regarded philips models doesn't feature holes on the sides while cheaper models do, i can't really understand the logic behind that choice. are those side holes just a gimmick or do they matter?   
has anyone found differences in the results?
