 The response times are borderline good enough for 144 Hertz here, but there's no doubting. This is still a faster, smoother and more responsive experience than previous budget ultra White's, however, and this shouldn't be much of a surprise - you're not getting the same 144 Hertz experience as the top-end and much more expensive monitors like LG's, 34 GK, 950 f and the MSI Mpg 341 CQ are both of these, including MSI's v8, offering are around 35 % faster and in the case of the LG model, have no dark level smearing issues. So while the NX EDG 34s does perform well offering mid T performance at a mid tier price, there's still a reason to upgrade, or at least consider those more premium models. Aside from response times, the NX EDG 34s performs well in several other areas

 This is a curved panel, so you will still want to sit in the sensor to avoid issues viewing the curve at a weird angle, but viewing angles are still much better than at en, for example, contrast is also very good. The VA panel MSI uses for the mpg 341 cqr was on the weekend for VA contrast ratios at just over 2000 to 1, but this new model seems to have no trouble pushing up to more like 2800 to 1 after calibration. That'S a strong result and delivers reasonably deep blacks, which means, if you game in a dark room, you should see good black levels and rich shadows. This is one of the downsides of choosing LG's 34 GK, 950 F, for example, as the contrast ratio for that display is below one thousand to one

 The Nixie is NX. Edg 34s sits in the middle of the pack, so even among vias, it's far from the worst on average, with some panels delivering 8 millisecond response times. This includes the budget Cogan 100 Hertz ultra wide, which has an 8 point: 3 5 millisecond graded great average, which would be unsuitable for 144 Hertz. The Kogan model uses an older, cheaper panel and costs a few hundred dollars less, but we can see here that this new 1500, our curved panel, is offering faster response times to hit 144 Hertz

Is that... burn in? XB271HU Acer. IPS yeah. Noticed it when switching from PC to Xbox. It's the search field from Windows.

 Pixel response times aren’t great, and things tend to smear when doing something quickly. Additionally, my monitor had a bright spot on the bottom center of the monitor. It’s a green stuck pixel. Nixeus has a horrible policy with stuck/dead pixels (you need 7 to qualify for any warranty service)

I've been looking at monitor upgrades to replace my 60hz 38in ultrawide and have seen a lot of posts and comments saying "ultrawide &gt; 16:9 all the way"

But the kicker in all this is the price. The OLED 4K 120hz 48" LG tv comes in at the (essentially) same price as the 38" 144hz IPS ultrawide.

Now i know that 21:9 is enjoyable. I've used it for a while now. The question becomes: when you're asked to pay the same amount for these two displays, do you still auto-buy the 21:9?

FWIW my perspective is nothing competitive. WoW, horizon ZD, skyrim, minecraft are games I play.

I currently own the GN850. I’m considering getting the GN950 for a dual monitor set-up, but I’m concerned about a common issue regarding the display port. 

1. If you own the GN950, does it work well in dual monitor set-up?

2. Have you experienced the monitor not turning back on after it goes to sleep?

3. I have an RTX 3070 gpu, i7 10th gen cpu, 32gb ram, 1 Tb ssd, and 850 watt psu. Are these specs enough to run 4K gaming on high (not ultra)? As well as basic video editing, photoshop, and other office tasks?

Do you own the LG GN950?

I seem to be the odd one out so take my review with a grain of salt as I think I might have a faulty unit.  Pros: - Fantastic colors. I came from a TN and this is just head and shoulders above it. - Clocks to 144hz no problem, have read that it even goes up to 220hz (at your own risk) - Response time is as good as the description touts

Beautiful monitor but flickering problems

For a response time comparison, I unfortunately do not have the sort of equipment to make a TFT Central style analysis. I hooked up both the Nixeus EDG34 and the LG 34uc79g to my GTX 1080 and then ran various games at 2560x1080 on both screens and looked for ghosting.

At it's price, I think it ends the appeal of 2560x1080x144hz personally - given that you can run the lower resolution on this monitor and it still looks good. Is the extra cost of LG's 3440x1440 144hz worth it anymore? I'll be waiting for the review of this unit from the good folks at TFT Central for my final verdict, but at this point I think the Nixeus provides a better value.
