After a second round of my pump going out...
both were coolermaster ML240. First was under warranty, second was just barely out.

I thought a simpler solution would be the old school heat-sink and fan set up (cheaper too)..like us old nerds used to use back in the stone ages of the 2010s.

I picked up a Noctua NH-U12S and its performance is better than the AIO ever was and superficially quieter because I got rid of the radiator and fans from the top of the case.

Unless you are doing some serious overclocking, I don't think most normal users need AIO at all for daily driving.

I know your Krakens are pretty fly looking, but from here on out, I'm rocking tan and brown.

I'm never going back to AIO

 In my case, there was a bracket used on intel CPUs that is attached on the backside of the motherboard. My CPU case ensured that there was an exposed area for the bracket in case the motherboard was installed first. It allows you can assemble the cooler bracket without having to remove the motherboard. I purchased an bare ATX AIGO CPU Case that had plenty of room. The Noctua NH-D15, Premium CPU Cooler with 2X NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fans (Brown) is big and takes up a lot of room. However, it is quiet, looks great, and it's cooling performance is superb! A plus for computer modders is that it has that mechanical and futuristic curb appeal. Noctua does a great job in providing a kit that will fit the majority of motherboard setups

I'm the opposite, I was using a Noctua NH-D15 and changed to an arctic liquid freezer II 360 locked at 20% for my silent build and temps never go above mid 60s. The Noctua was nice, but my god it was huge and made making any adjustments an absolute nightmare to do inside the case in regards to other components, like I couldn't even reach the GPU clip. The weight of that thing worried me as well, like having a rock hanging off your mobo.

Just slap a Noctua NH-D15 air cooler and you'll be more than fine. You don't really need an AIO liquid cooler.

CPU Cooler for a 5800x?

 I am not happy about buying an additional fan at $32 before tax and shipping. I think I should get a rebate for the $32 extra.

Noctua NH-D15 works awesome on this CPU.  No need for AIO - I had a 8700k - NH-D15, and upgraded to the 12900k - NH-D15..   I probably wont do an AIO again

  SO, starting later today I'm going to try out the infamously glitched game Kingdom Come: Deliverfance to feel for the heat difference, and I do believe Fallout 4 and GTA5 are in order as well. If after all that it has becoming apparent that your product is great at it's job I'll consider it $90 well spent, a nice thumbing of the nose to the liquid cooler-obsessed, and I'll also up your score from 4 to 5.  Well, look at what I did again.

Actually, as I was looking through the very well organized set of compartments inside the main box I was VERY impressed by how well-made and well thought out this thing is. At the risk of sounding vague, what I mean by that is that it looks like it's made with quality parts by quality people. The instruction manual was extremely easy to follow, and I was delighted by how, at least for the most part, easy this cooler is to install

 I was thinking of going with a liquid cooling system, but there's no conclusive proof from anyone that it can cool any better than a well-executed fan/air system. You got your anecdotes from guys who swear up and down that their CPU runs 50 degrees cooler on their liquid system, but it's all anecdotal nonsense.  This cooler had me sorta attracted on a visual level from the start because of the fact that it's nice and plain looking. I've HAD IT UP TO HERE (!!) with all these computer components being covered top to bottom in lights and other nonsense; my main point there is that you're likely more about practicality than gimmick

 It performs better than some AIO's and will outlast the rest of your build (and probably your next few builds too). No need to spend $50 on something just to want/need to get another one in a few years.

I noticed that my cpu is going beyond 90C° when playing games, i was using the stock cooler, I'm a little tight on money right now and can't afford an AIO or an expensive air cooler, I don't care about the sound coz I'm using headphones, so are there any cheap air coolers around 30$-50$  that i could use for now ?

Recommend air cooler for the Intel Core-i7-9700K ?

 I was told (by Noctua, emailed them pics) that everything would fit on my system, but the full height RAM modules interfered with the second fan. I could have mounted the fan higher, but that just seems inefficient and dumb-looking. I tried mounting the fan to the other side of the tower, but in order for it to blow the right way the exposed size of the fan (without the support arms) was facing the tower and it actually hit the fins. Finally I just mounted the second fan on the rear exhaust of the case and that seems to work pretty good

 Maybe even bundle the heatsink. chroma fans, and the heatsink covers at a discount.  Overall I'd get it again, I don't think you could do much better with air cooling.
