 They use thinner metal in their enforcer constructions and that leads to a more nimble nature of the ski while keeping the dampness top notch, very minimal vibrations on this one and just a pleasure to ski in a variety of snow conditions, obviously at 110 millimeter underfoot and with the extended tip and tail rocker we're going to see better performance in soft snow but one of the things that's always stood out to me about this ski is its ability to perform on firmer snow and groomers so it's a really well rounded 110. Great choice for that advanced expert skier who wants something on the more stiff and demanding end of the spectrum for a wide ski but still not overbearing. We do get some weight with this one here, this is the 185 and we're seeing a weight of 2323 grams on the scale so there is some heft behind it, there's a lot of mass and surface area as well but it does translate well to on snow performance, it never feels that heavy. Where we see a lot of the performance upgrades here is in the rocker extending or the shape extending beyond the rocker

5 meter turn radius so that's kind of short for a 110 and the fact that you're able to access that side cut really makes this thing carve well and it wants to turn but that doesn't mean that it's going to be hooky and powder when we get to that tail rocker profile that will become pretty clear but you know this is a good way to see where the taper starts the widest point and then the rocker extends beyond that so nice rocker on this one pretty good splay that's going to make the ski surf up and over on any type of fresh or deep snow and then we'll see that in the tail as well so even though we got two sheets of metal and a pretty burly build we still have that nice gradual rocker and some pretty moderate splay in the tail allowing it to be pretty surfy so it's kind of a counterbalance aspect that Nordica is pulling off here and then we see that nice rounded shape as we do in all the other enforcer series skis and that really helps keep that tail nice and smooth you know it holds tight up to the end of the edge on anything firmer and then in anything soft when you get into the tapered and rounded aspect it has a more playful feel to it so a great overall choice and awesome feel for that advanced and expert skier who's you know ideally spending most of their time in fresh and soft snow but yeah that's it that's the Nordica enforcer 110 free awesome free ride ski great in the powder surprisingly agile and nimble especially given the weight so check this thing out at SkiEssentials.com and we'll see you out there on the hill. I'm 5'9 and around 145lbs, and an intermediate skier in the PNW. I ski mostly Mt Hood or Bachelor, so I'm used to the thick snow. 

I haven't done too much park stuff, I kinda like just carving and bombing. Last year I picked up a pair of BC100s but I ended up reselling them as they didn't feel right. 

I've read great reviews of the Nordica Enforcer 100 and 104s, as well as the ON3P Woodsman 102s. 

Any suggestions on proper width and length? Any skis you recommend? Thanks friends

All mountain ski recommendations

 It's a little bit thinner metal than we see in some skis out there which is another important design element of the Enforcer skis and something that's made them so popular so you get the vibration damping, you get the stability, you get all the benefits of metal but they're a little bit more forgiving, a little bit more playful feeling, doesn't add quite as much weight or as stiff of a flex which is really cool. So for performance on these things, I think the big things to think about is you get a lot of float but you also get a lot of stability. So if you're a pretty aggressive skier looking for a powder ski, this is a really good option. I guess you don't have to be like the world's most aggressive skier and if you are maybe it's not quite, you know there are skis out there that are stiffer with flatter tails for like charging down big mountain lines at 70 miles an hour but an aggressive skier can get on these and pretty much ski anything and you're going to be really happy about it

Hey ski gear! Trying to decide what skis to buy. About me: 6’1” 195 athletic background. I’m an advanced skier that takes 2 trips out west per year and might get in one east coast trip. I enjoy the entire mountain but probably bumps the least.  I can go fast and enjoy it but most often find myself wanting to find side hits, small drops (want to get larger drops) and glades and trees.  Trending towards playful all mountain. Love bowls and going off trail but not doing any touring or backcountry.  Might do one or 2 park laps per day but just jumps with some spins. 

Saw a boot fitter in beaver creek this year and got some Salomon S Pro 120s fitted already so now I want to complete the setup.  Want something that is all-mountain for the west but isn’t super burly either. If I can find ways to get it in the air I will.  Also will have some laps with my 2 kids and wife so need something that doesn’t kill me to go a little slower.

Demoed and enjoyed:
- Rustler 9 in JH, 180 cm - fun, with enough edge hold . Could seriously consider buying
- QST 92 in Utah in 185 cm - easy to ski. Would size up to the 99 in 181 if I buy.
- Elan Ripsticks in Beaver Creek in 181 cm

Didn’t enjoy:
- Mantra M5 - they were fine but more directional.  Not good for family skiing.
- head Kore 93 - they were fine but not my favorite. Not playful enough.
- faction 2.0 - too loose and surfy 

I’m leaning towards Rustler 9 or 10 or possibly the Ranger 94 FR.  Could also go with the QST 99.  I’ve read all the blister reviews, watched ski essentials and really just need to pull the trigger.  Want something f that is accessible but has a higher ceiling which is why I’m down to the ones above. I’m leaning towards 90’s underfoot since I can’t really control snow conditions when I take my trips and the rocker in what I like should provide enough float unless it’s just dumping. Any others I should look at. I’ve seen good deals for Sick Day 94, Nomad 95, and Black Crows Camox. I think the enforcer 104 free might be a bit much ski for what I like but open to different opinions.

Yet another ski question

 This ski has been around for a while without any changes. It's back again for another season. Just a new top sheet graphic. New construction, same performance as we've had for a few years now

 It's really good in powder. In fact, I can attest to that because I've owned a pair for three or four years now. It's kind of my go-to powder ski and I really like it. You get that fun, floaty powder performance, but then you get some stability too

 It is thinner metal than we get in a lot of skis, so it gives the ski a little bit more of a supple, forgiving flex pattern. If you were to flex this compared to if you were to take every ski in the world with metal in its construction, these would be on the softer end of that spectrum. Not the softest, but softer, which is nice because you get the performance benefits of metal, stability, vibration, damping, stuff like that. But the ski is a little bit easier going

 So it's not surprising that we just get the same ski year after year from Nordica because it's a really good ski. 110 underfoot and a very well-rounded powder ski. We'll get to why I think that's true when we talk about performance, but before we do that, let's look at construction. So in the Enforcer Free models, we get a lighter wood core

Skied since I was a kid, raced in high school
I mainly keep away from groomers and like blacks/double blacks/bumps/trees.  When I do ski groomers, I ski them fast.

I dabble in the park and am looking to do more of it this season.

My local mountain gets lots of snow, but tends to be heavy, coastal snow.  I am going to be doing some trips to the interior of bc as well, say ~15 days

I have not bought skis in a really long time :)
Current skis:
Salomon shogun 182cm (102 under foot, slight tip and tail rocker)
Salomon 1080 foil 166cm (way too short, very low speed limit, but still fun)

I want one softer snow ski and one playful twin tip ski that can also be fun when it is firmer.

I am thinking of:

Nordica Soul rider 97 177cm


I have been debating doing the 104 free and the 87 soulrider as well.

My local mountain gets lots of snow, but tends to be heavy, coastal snow. I am going to be doing some trips to the interior of bc as well, say ~15 days 

I have not bought skis in a really long time :)
Current skis:
Salomon shogun 182cm (102 under foot, slight tip and tail rocker)
Salomon 1080 foil 166cm (way too short, very low speed limit, but still fun) 
&nbsp;

I want one softer snow ski and one playful twin tip ski that can also be fun when it is firmer.
&nbsp;

I am thinking of:
Nordica Enforcer 110 free 185cm
Nordica Soul rider 97 177cm 
&nbsp;

I have been debating doing the 104 free and the 87 soulrider as well. 
&nbsp;

Other skis that I am considering (but open to anything)
Faction Candide 3.0/2.0
Elan rip stick 106 black 
&nbsp;

 We do have a few pairs left, so if you want the green, pick one up before you can. And then this is the 2018 graphic, which I think Nordica's graphics for 2019, we've seen a lot of their skis and they did a really good job. I personally think the neon green is cool and I was a little bit disappointed to see it go away. But once I saw this ski within the whole collection, it looks, it looks really cool

 I was able to go straight from a 110 to a Pro and then back to a 110, which was really fun, and definitely a stiffer flex in the Pro. So if that's what you're after, if you want the biggest, burliest ski, kind of going back to that, maybe you're a competition big mountain skier, that's more, slightly more appropriate for that, but largely the same. An Enforcer Pro 191 is really very similar to the 110 191, just a little bit, a little bit stiffer. So I found not quite as easy to manipulate carving turn shape would be kind of a good example of where that change is

 Clearly it's not a twin tip at all, the Enforcer 100, where you could make the argument that the 110 is a twin tip, but it's longer tail rocker and it rises more. So it does change the ski quite a bit, which we'll get to when we talk about performance. Other than that, the shapes are actually really similar. So the rocker profile is different, but the side cut is basically exactly the same

 This is the 2018 Enforcer 110 graphic. This is the 2018 Enforcer 100, that's the Enforcer 93 and that's the Enforcer Pro. So before this year the Enforcer collection was just the 100 and the 93, it's now doubled in size, it's now four models from 93 underfoot all the way up to 115 underfoot in the Pro. And a little bit different when we start getting into the 110 in the Pro, which is why we wanted to do this review and kind of talk about some of the differences in the ski

 In the article I refer to it as more tail rocker, which I think is the best way to think of it in terms of performance. If you can remember what that tail looks like when we look at the Enforcer 100, a little bit less rise out of that tail. Clearly it's not a twin tip at all, the Enforcer 100, where you could make the argument that the 110 is a twin tip, but it's longer tail rocker and it rises more. So it does change the ski quite a bit, which we'll get to when we talk about performance

I love them! I got the longest length possible for added speed+stability and I’m glad I did. I take these skis all over the mountain—groomers, glades, parks, and powder. The rocker-camber-rocker profile helps keep the ski up in powder, and the flared tip and tail also help me when I’m “riding switch” (skiing backwards).

I’m an intermediate skier and am 185cm and 230lbs (I’m heavy because of weight lifting).

I mostly do groomed runs and park skiing. But do want to explore other portions of the mountain as I get better. Live on the Canadian west coast and mostly ski local mountains.

Got two questions, what size should I get the Bent Chetler in 180cm or 188cm?
Are there any other skis I should check out?
