I bought a Nordictrack commercial 1750 around Christmas time and I absolutely love it. I’m not a ‘new’ runner but I’m getting a ton out of some of the iFit programs.

I used to run about 30 miles a week.  About a year ago, we had to move for my job and unfortunately moved to a neighborhood that isn't runner friendly.  Between the move, COVID, new job, etc., I haven't ran in over a year.  I'm really missing it and wanting to get back into it, but my neighborhood really isn't conducive to running.

I'd like to get a treadmill, but am not sure where to start.  I know it's not the same as running outside, but it's better than nothing.  Do you guys have any recommendations?  Or know of any good websites where I can research treadmills?

Treadmill Recommendations

  Now iFit is pretty good but there are a few things that seem to be developing pretty slowly on their end. They finally were able to add support for bluetooth headphones a couple of weeks ago which I can't imagine why it would take so long for such a basic feature. My biggest wish is that they would integrate with other aggregators (google fit, fitbit, apple, anything) as well as have Spotify or other music integrations on the console. In their defense they do not state that this is a feature and I purchased the treadmill without any promise that this would be done

 Also check that the belt is properly centered after running on it for a few minutes. Mine was not after assembly and the belt tore slightly. I removed the tear and all the strings that came out and wrapped around the rollers. After that it was super easy to center and has stayed centered since

 In the absence of any integrations they should at least open up their API so others could write integrations for them(I know there is an API in place and I know that it does store all the data from my workouts). That being said, the workouts with trainers are pretty great and the feature to create your own routes with google maps is good. I haven't had any issues with the videos and/or the google maps feature. The deck is pretty wide and roomy

Also, I was able to get Customer Service pretty quickly and they shipped a new belt to me for free. I have left the old one on for now since the tear is pretty small

 I see this as a positive, as it appears to be a solid unit and not flimsy at all. Assembling it was pretty straight forward though it was a bit hard to line up the grip bars and the console. Even so I was still able to get it together with the help of one more person as they suggest. There were 2 screws in the side bars that I was not able to get in but there are 3 others holding them in place and it seems fine (now 2 months after assembling it)

I've had the NordicTrack "Commercial" 1750 treadmill now for just over a year and wanted to write a quick review. My TL;DR is: purchase a different treadmill and stay away from NordicTrack. The basics are there - it (currently) works, it turns on, connects to iFit, you can walk/run on it, move the incline, all of that basic stuff. But it hasn't been a great treadmill, and I would purchase another kind of treadmill were I to make that decision today

 I am unplugging it and plugging it back in about every 2-3 times it’s used because of issues with the app. This treadmill is great but spend the money on something that doesn’t have such dependence on an app that doesn’t have their stuff together.

  Now the kicker - iFIT is awful. The treadmill screen often freezes when trying to navigate the app. The only way I’ve found to bypass this is by unplugging it and plugging it back in. It’s not easy to search on the screen on the treadmill

 The screen is a bit small, normally that wouldn’t be an issue but it makes doing workouts off the treadmill awkward and I find I’m more hunched over the screen when running. It is a big treadmill and takes up a lot of space when down but the length was what we needed for my 6’2” boyfriend to use.  Now the kicker - iFIT is awful. My NordicTrack 1750, which I've never loved for various reasons, has a cracked deck for the second time in just over a year (in addition to having replaced the belt in there as well). I've decided it's time to move on to something better. My wife and I both use it pretty often, and I tend to have most my runs at &gt; 1hr around 9 mph pace. I have a friend who's an elite runner and has a Woodway 4front and loves it (found it used), and I am considering that as my top option, but finding used ones here (in Ontario Canada) is tricky,  so I'm also looking into some other options

 Still haven't heard from them. Calls and emails, just go ignored. After spending 2k plus, disappointing to say the least.

Terrible Customer Service - Buyer beware

  I've never, I mean NEVER write reviews on products and I felt the need to do so after what I've experienced to date with Nordictrack - simply is the worst.  Please take my advice and purchase other manufacturer equipment - anything else will be better.   I will be finding as many places to post this review to as I can't believe how bad of an experience this has been after spending the amount of money we did on this equipment.

We renovated our home gym and 12 months ago bought a Commercial 2950 Treadmill and 6 months ago a RW900 Rower - Nearly $7,000 worth of equipment.  To date - the treadmill I've had to replace the motherboard not once, but twice, a wiring harness, the entire walking deck, and now its borken AGAIN and the 'fix' is to replace the motor now and the motherboard for a 3rd time

 I'm a very handy person, and replacing the deck alone was a 4-5 hour process.  I wish I knew how bad these machines are, they should not be allowed to be on the market. Please take my advice and purchase other manufacturer equipment - anything else will be better

Nordictrack is the worst - buy something else.

 Measure until you are sure!  I'm happy with the features overall. Bluetooth integration works. The trainer volume and music volume are fortunately split as I rarely like the piped in music, so I keep that off. I'd be happy if you could do a hybrid mode where the trainer track stays on but you can sub in your own music for the music track via Bluetooth, but no complaints, just one thing that might make it nicer (maybe via a firmware update?)

I bought a Nordictrack Commercial 1750 in August 2020, and loved it… until I hated it. Parts broke, they wanted me to do the repairs, and it was weeks between receiving new parts. It took months but I finally got a full refund, but in that process I couldn’t run and lost any fitness progress I had made. The silver lining is I moved across the country shortly after all of that, and it was kind of nice to not have to disassemble and move a treadmill

This is my 2.5 month review. I suffered from a fallen arch & severe tendonitis in my left foot for 20+ yrs, seriously inhibiting my mobility. After a tear last year, I underwent tendon repair & extensive foot posture correction surgery

 iFit also needs to add more walking & active recovery workouts in their lineup.  iFit Heart Rate Monitor (chest strap) - 0 / 5 stars & it deserves far less. As most other reviewers said, what garbage! It worked only once & it was WILDLY inaccurate. So wild I'd be dead if the readings were true
