Nvidia GeForce GTX 960

1st I bought my i5 and MOBO when I was grade11 for 40$ (converted) and my uncle gave me 8gb ddr3, after saving for 2 months I bought my friend's generic PSU for like 10$ and his friend's GT630 25$, I assembled it and was very happy, upgraded my GPU after 11-12months I bought a used GTX 960 for 50$ and I felt like I can handle all games I wanted, then after that I saved all money bought a new PSU and until now to buy a new rig, new rig was R5 3600, 2\*8gb 3200mhz, and Tomahawk max but my GPU is still the same 960, I can't upgrade it anytime soon I planned to work but there's COVID. I'm very proud of my rig not the best and the cleanest but I'm very happy with this, happy gaming!.

I chose the GTX 960 2gb because it was $30 cheaper than the 4gb. I even bought a dvd burner, but never ended up using it. I remember asking my parents to go to fry's almost every day for a week because I used their magazine promos to get all of my components cheaper.

I just sold my old GTX 960 for £10 less than I bought it for new. Also no point in creating more future electronic waste for no reason whatsoever. If you often need to use some other software at the same time during video calls in teams, a discrete GPU might help (my laptop, a 2015 i7 MacBook) struggles with this (it works but can be a little slow to start other apps etc) whereas my desktop doesn't. The GPU gets a little use during video calls.

* My Nvidia GTX 960 worked perfectly after installing Nvidia drivers. * My GTX 1660 Super worked perfectly out of the box (Nvidia drivers were already there from the GTX 960). * My RX 6700 XT worked perfectly after upgrading to a kernel that supported the GPU.
