Meta Quest 2 Review - 6 Months Later

I am currently sitting on rtx 3070 and play 90/120hz VR wirelessly. While 3070 is not bad for VR I still get some frame drops at times especially when there is more action on the screen in multiplayer team games and I can't max out or crank my resolution up too much.

I was planning to buy one of the AMD cards but there aren't many VR benchmarks videos to check the performance. Is it worth paying more for 6900xt or will 6800xt be more than enough to get the stable performance?

6800xt Vs 6900xt for VR

 - Nice desktop experience in VR through Oculus Link (free) - High refresh rates up to 120hz (if you're wired and can find a game that supports it) - Haven't seen other views to compare, but I'm very satisfied with the resolution. And hear its better than most if not all other VR headsets right now while also keeping in mind its the most compatible with VR games. Im guessing this is the Playstation or XBOX of Virtual Reality. Or they are lining up to be

 This’ll make you more comfortable but will also help keep you stationary and orient you. They sell $100 tough gamer standing pads about the size of the guardian, if you have the dedicated space and money for it, I can't stop you I guess, but a simple, thick rug or small yoga mat will do. -Like a baseball plate, add a little point when you draw your guardian space to let you know which way you should be facing at all times, you want that wire mostly behind you at all times.  I have more to say but admittedly this is getting long

This horizontal strap, You want to be able to basically situate it perfectly in the right spot and once you've got it set to the right spot, then you tighten this up so that it's just taut. and then that is what keeps the Quest 2 in the perfect spot

 Now, how does the Quest 2 stack up with the Quest 1? Well, if you look at the specs, the Quest 1 has a resolution of 1440 by 1600 per eye, but it is an Oled display. The Quest 2 has a resolution of 1832 by 1920. So that means the Quest 2 has 52 more resolution to work with than the Quest one. What headset is the best ?

 The stock strap holds none of the weight, and gets uncomfortable within 5 mins. I bought a 3rd party ratchet strap, way more comfortable, and lasts me hours of use at a time. The facial padding, is terrible and there is a recall on it. So they include a silicone cover for the material, instead of a new model facial interface, lazy AF

  Cons: Battery life is short. As low as 1 hour for large-scale games like MMOs, as long as 3-4 hours for single player games, but rarely.  Needs accessories to be user friendly  Uncomfortable strap  Weak parts, prone to breaking. (my unit is 2 months old and broke)  Controller battery confusing

I got locked out of my Facebook and the oculus team basically told me they can't do anything. Its been 3 weeks and I've still heard nothing back from facebook..

Guess its time to upgrade to a valve index.

This is the worst reason for not being able to use a product I've ever heard of.

<p>Edit: to clarify I was locked out for signing in from a new device without a code authentication app, and I didn&#39;t have my phone number associated with the account. </p>

<p>I have sent in my passport as requested by facebook support multiple times but with no response for 3 weeks. I read on reddit some people having to wait 5 months for this problem to be resolved</p>
