 This flashlight runs off one AAA battery. It's going to give you two lumen outputs, five lumens at the low and 180 lumens at the top. At 180 lumens, this thing will throw 60 meters and run for 21 minutes. And at 5 lumens, it's going to throw 12 meters and it's going to run for 16 hours

When I first saw this, the first thing I thought of was the Streamlit Microstream, so very similar in size and just the overall look. The Streamlit Microstream came out years ago, and then they had an upgraded version, which gave you around 250 lumens of output, if I remember correctly, and that one's going to run you around $30

The Olight i3T EOS: AAA-Powered, 180 Lumens - The Streamlight Microstream Killer?

 So. The O’light is now the go to for me.  Suggest buying your alkaline battery packs at the dollar store. A fraction of the cost of high end name brands

 Used for several months at early predawn hours with dogs in several back yards. This is actually quite functional since I do need too much light. However with fresh batteries the high beam is impressive in beam width n power . Fresh batteries n low setting is perfect for my needs

 I also got this wrong and I'm sorry about that. When it comes to using this battery, something else happens with this that's very weird. You don't get two modes, you get one mode and it looks to be about 200 lumens. Now I initially thought it was running in its high mode, so I put it out and wanted to see when it would drop down to a lower output, and it never does

 Now, starting at the front, this has changed dramatically. Now, the lenses are the same, but the emitters are completely different. In the past generation, we had a cool white emitter that was coming in about 6,500 kelvin. This one is a neutral white

 I mean, it was just barely warm. Now it could be because this is a copper flashlight, but even if it was aluminum, aluminum conducts heat very, very well, which tells me that whatever they're doing in this flashlight, they're translating more of that energy to light than they are to the heat. And that is exactly what everyone's trying to achieve with a flashlight, ideally converting that energy in the most efficient way possible. Conclusion is that this is definitely making it into my top 10 AA flashlights right now

 When it goes on sale is when I recommend getting one, and you can get one relatively cheap. So check that out, and I think you're going to be pretty happy with it, especially if you use your flashlight a lot. So there you go. You guys have a great day

I was wrong about the I5R from Olight (Redemption Review)

 After it cooled, I tried the flashlight on high for 5 minutes holding it in my hand and it was only warm which is to be expected in a flashlight. Make sure it is turned off before putting it away in a pocket, purse or other closed area. Other than the fact I was concerned it would spontaneously combust in my hand after pulling it out of my pocket, this is a nice little flashlight.

Bright Little Flashlight with one caution

 That's a pretty large field. That tree is about 50 yards off. We're still getting a lot of light out there. And here we have the low to five-lumen setting

 I've been carrying these lights for about five years, and they're just great lights. Be strong. Be of good courage. God bless America

 And, you know, especially at night, obviously, because, you know, it's dark and it really gives you illumination. And this is the I3T Eos. It's got a new body design, I mean these swirls on here, it's just a really cool light. And then here at the back, you've got some knurling to be able to, you know, take that, open it up for your battery

I don’t believe I was using it for that long but it got hot enough to be slightly annoying This hasn’t happened to me with aluminum flashlights with Brighter outputs that were used for longer periods of time. Only Because it got so hot That I’m considering looking for an Other flashlight. Recap been using it for a while now and the Flashlight has started to grow on me and it Loos very good in polished stainless

Good looking flashlight

 I much prefer higher CRI lights, but these I3Ts I think are fantastic to have. They're fantastic gifts and it's definitely something that I would recommend to others. Moving on to why you should or shouldn't buy the light. You should buy it if you want an easy to use interface

 The output on this is it's got two modes. High is 180 lumens for 21 minutes and low is five lumens for 16 hours. This takes a AAA battery. It does not take a lithium ion 10-440

 It's not as accurate as an integrating sphere, but it's pretty accurate and it's also allows us to just compare different lights to one another. So it's essentially a series of diffusion films and a lux meter attached. And these diffusion films essentially calibrate the lux to lumens. And so when I turn this on here, you can see there it says lux, but the diffusion films calibrate this down to lumens for us

 The aluminum one is also going to be cheaper. So if weight makes a difference, you may want to look at the aluminum one. I think they're great gifts just due to the fact that the interface is so simple. It's my go to AAA light
