OMOTON is great at making sleek, design-conscious products at affordable prices, and their OMOTON Ultra-Slim Bluetooth keyboard is no different. With its silver backing and white square keys, it mimics the design of the Apple Magic keyboard, but at a fraction of the price. It is a standard size, and typing is intuitive and easy. The keys have a longer travel time than on the actual Apple Magic keyboard and can be a bit "chatty" at higher typing speeds, but some might like the thicker feel over the thin membrane-style keys of the recent MacBooks. The shortcuts are also MacOS specific, but the keyboard will work with Windows or Android devices. We were impressed by its Bluetooth range, operating up to 20 feet away, outperforming more expensive models. 
The keyboard is also constructed entirely of plastic, which gives it a "knock-off" feel, but still looks and performs exceptionally well. It is powered by batteries that are not included, which is more inconvenient than any other models tested &mdash; most keyboards were rechargeable, and usually, the ones that required batteries came with a set already in place. Additionally, this model could only connect to one device at a time, unlike some of the other models that allow you to switch between devices. Overall though, we felt this keyboard is a great choice for those on a budget, especially those fond of Apple product designs.

Too little travel on the keys

 The keys felt good and the batteries only had to be changed once in a year (I use this 4-5 days a week for an hour or two).  Lately the keyboard just stopped connecting on its own. Now when I want to use it I have to hit the connect button and go into BT setting on my iPad and manually connect it. Kind of a bummer

Was a great keyboard, but now it doesn't connect

 - The action of the keys is nice. Not a lot of play, but distinct enough that I can tell I’m definitely pressing keys. It’s comparable to the MacBook keyboards. - It’s stiff, so I can set it on my lap and not have to worry about it folding or bending in the middle

  Likes: - This keyboard works. I’m really glad to find a full size keyboard (key size and spacing) that is so easily travel ready. - It’s decently light, and the weight is well balanced toward the lift (where the batteries are) - The hot keys on the F# keys seem like they’ll be really handy. I bought the iPhone version of this keyboard (the included paperwork indicated that there was an Android version), and it gives options for hom, adjusting screen brightness, search, playback, volume, and lock

Solid buy, but the keys are a little slick

 This is working fairly well.  Pro: It works! Seems to work well, I’m having no problems here.  Setup: There’s a little card included with the keyboard, makes it simple to setup. Turn it on, and type a code that it gives you

 This is NOT a flaw in this keyboard, I’m just trying to set expectations for any iPhone external keyboard.  It would be great to have a cover for this keyboard, I’m just throwing it loose in my backpack. No problems so far, but I would feel a bit better if there was something to cover the keys.

 It does take a couple seconds to reconnect - a keyboard icon shows on the screen to let you know it's reconnecting.  Original Review I’m writing this review on the keyboard, and my iPhone. This is working fairly well.  Pro: It works! Seems to work well, I’m having no problems here

Works with Apple TV!

 It seems fine. At about one fifth the cost of an actual Apple magic keyboard, something had to give.  To be fair, this keyboard isn't really advertised to fully work with MacOS. But it mostly looks like a MacOS keyboard so I figured it probably would work

  Like I said, I'll update this review when I get the MacOS specific version to let you know if that works as desired.

Control strip doesn't work on MacOS Mojave but iPad 7 is great

 Very happy to say that all my keyboard keys work! I changed my rating to a 4-star, mainly only because I feel there should be consistency in how their products should work all around, since they already get great reviews. Other than that, everything about the feel and look of the product is still what it is! The delivery of my replacement keyboard came super quick too! Excited to use it over time. May come back to give an update on my review to share how it's been over a good time span.

Just bought brand new; everything but neither of the shift keys work. ***UPDATE***

  Come on Omoton, get with it!  So I found some batteries (two AAAs) and sure enough, this keyboard performs as advertised. It feels a lot (but not completely) like Apple's own chicklet style keyboard for the iPad pro. But the nicest feature is there's a dedicated pairing button on the bottom of the keyboard! No more holding down the wrong key on the keyboard to attempt for the hundredth time to get it to pair with your device.  Also it's a lot quicker at waking up from sleep when you need to get to work

  If you're in need of a keyboard for your iPad Pro or other device, you could buy a worse keyboard than this one. Just remember to get batteries.

Good, with caveats

This is my second OMOTION keyboard that I paired with my Apple iPad 10.5 Pro (circa 2017). Both keyboard worked great and are of the size that makes two handed, full on typing a breeze. This compared favorably to a compact keyboard/case combination that I ended up returning as full typing wasn’t possible (again - different product from this one)

 This time, however, I also bought a protective hard case just for the keyboard so that its protected when being stored in the laptop bag! Bottom line - good keyboard with great Bluetooth connectivity - just a bit delicate when being transported.

 I tried to reach the seller separately to purchase replacement keys, but never got an answer. So it was easier simply to buy a second OMOTION keyboard. This time, however, I also bought a protective hard case just for the keyboard so that its protected when being stored in the laptop bag! Bottom line - good keyboard with great Bluetooth connectivity - just a bit delicate when being transported.
