Sure, it's more expensive than an aluminum bar, but it costs notably less than any other carbon model we tested. While the names of OneUp's products are often quite simple, we assure you that the Carbon Handlebar is anything but. OneUp has created an impressive product that provides excellent control with a beefy 35mm clamp diameter, 800mm width, and comfortable 8-degree backsweep and 5-degree upsweep. Unlike most handlebars, OneUp has ovalized theirs in the transition/taper zone to increase vertical compliance and enhance its vibration absorbing properties. The result is one of the most comfortable bars we've ever tested. It truly works as advertised, and our hands felt fresher with no noticeable decrease in responsiveness or control. We tested a 20mm rise bar that weighs a feather-light 223-grams, but it also comes in a 35mm rise that weighs only a few grams more.  So they're just making premium level product at price points that are just way more competitive. Their dropper post is probably the most notable one that they've done so far with a whole. Video on that so check that out, but today we're going to talk about their handlebars. So what they wanted to do with handlebars, of course, they're not just going to produce a me-too product

 You know three minutes wildly stiffer it's hard to say. If that's a bad thing definitely has a different feel to it, and I can see how that would make you way more tired and maybe cause hand-paint on longer rides, but I know, is it bad? Is it worse? I don't know just keep testing bars and see what I think [ Music ] Thanks, feel stiff already. It'S like the rentals, definitely notice it. Climbing I'll, see a cow like it

 So let's go. Do it [ Music ] so hitting this climb right now in descent, with the one up barn stem climbing and yanking on the bars, it's kind of where you actually want that lateral stiffness? Where is the descending, where you want that vertical compliance, [, Music, ], alright! So swapping off the 1 up components bars now. I'Ve got, I think, over 100 miles on these things now, so I got a really good feel of these bars and now I'm just doing sort of back-to-back ons exact same sections of trail, swapping out the bars [ Music, ], [, Music, ], [, Music, ], [, Music ], so one of ours right to rent all these are the stiffest, and surprisingly, that was a way bigger change than I thought. I'D been riding the one-up bars now for a long time, so, on the exact same setup to just swap the bars and stem especially back to back within

 You know, as in like me, you know we're making it as well they're always coming out with something that's unique and different, and what they've done with handlebars is they've really just again, these guys are the biggest engineers and bike nerds out there. They'Ve, looked at sort of the best things about 31:8 handlebars, meaning that vertical compliance that a little bit of up and down flex that you get to make the bar just feel good and not fatigue your hands and your whole upper body too. Much, especially on. Like long terrain and just big rough descents and everything, but a 35 bar that has that lateral, stiffness right, that's sort of steering precision that you want out of a handlebar they're, looking for best of both worlds and they've custom-designed

 My understanding is that they're supposed to be stiff side to side so like steering, should still feel pretty snappy, and you know back and forward like in case you hit something dead on. It should be pretty hard, but they are complying up and down. So it should like help out a lot with the chunky sections and like hard landings. So just so, you guys know right now
