Once she hits that safe spot we would like to have her in a backpack. DH and I are both short-ish (5.3 and 5.5). We would like something that grows with baby if possible. Any hiking favorites?

 The last little trick I'm going to show you with this baby carrier is how to compress it a bit more when you want to store it so first of all we'll just pop the sunshade away, as you can see it goes in quite easily, it's not too much of a faff to get it in and out. Right these clips here, these are important, you must have these done up when you use your baby carrier, it basically provides the structure for the pod if you like for your baby, so they almost always must be done up, however if you want to reduce the volume of the pack to store it you can unclip them like so, they are quite tight, so there we go and then this toggle here can go into here so squeeze it together and you can just pop that through there like so and then obviously just compress this bit at the back and you'll see it's not tiny by any means but it is quite a lot smaller than it is when it's fully expanded and this pack would then fit into the baby carrier bag that you can buy as an additional accessory from Osprey, so if you're travelling on an aeroplane or something you might want to look into that just because it keeps all the straps and everything together and safe and stops it snagging in any of the luggage loading sort of systems. So there you go, that's the Osprey Poco, I hope you found this useful, I'm sure I've forgotten something because there's quite a lot to talk about with this so if you've got any more questions just pop them in the comments section below, as I'm saying that I've already realised I've forgotten to tell you about the hydration system, yes it is hydration system compatible, your bladder would hang here and go down the back here and then you've got a little pocket here to keep the nozzle in when you're using it, so any other things I've forgotten please let me know in the comments section below and if you liked this video please like it and subscribe to our channel, many thanks.

 So when you first use a baby carrier you'll want your child at the, assuming you buy it when your child's maybe about six months, you'll want your baby on the highest setting probably and then as they grow the seat drops down and you keep their weight sort of a bit lower on the pack. So you pop them in and then you want to unclip here and here, put their arms through here and here and then you'll clip the red buckles, again important ones to do up at the back here and here, like so. So really comfortable harness system there, nice and padded. At the front here you have a dribble pillow and this can be removed as well, you can just chuck it in the washing machine when it gets a bit gunky

 Right, so let's get on with the features. So let's start at the front for the features for you as the carrier. So all the Osprey baby carriers have this kind of trampolini system, mesh system here so it's really comfortable. All this is kind of, you can see it's bouncy, it's very taut, if I just ping on it there, great ventilation, loads of space in the back so super for keeping you not too sweaty when you're carrying your little one around

 And what you won't be able to see, but make sure when you close it you push the clip in, what you won't be able to see is at the back here they've got an extra small, small, medium and large sort of lines across so you can gauge where you want it. So I wear it just below small, I'm five foot six, I've got a friend who's six foot four, he wears it very comfortably at the top level and likewise my sister-in-law is about five foot two and she wears it right down at the lower level and gets on with it fine as well so it's really adjustable for all sorts of shapes and sizes. We're thinking about getting out hiking again later (finally) in the summer. Summer's been a wash due to this 15lb lump (who I love).

I have a front carrier for errands etc, but it's pretty lightweight, and won't cut it on longer day trips.

Any suggestions? Hoepfully one that we can use next year as well, so maybe 6 months-18 months?

Parents: Best backpack-style carrier for dragging my infant daughter around?

 She LOVED it and it was very comfortable for us. A little heavy for me to carry her so my husband had her almost the entire time but he loves it. There’s a lot of support and the built in sun cover was awesome. Baby was able to fall asleep comfortably and the storage on the inside is perfect!!! Was able to store bottles and food for us three and more! Don’t even look at the price just buy it

Worth every cent!

 So first, let's start with an overview of the pack. Number one most important thing, it has a great spot to put the baby in it right here. Come, I wanna show you this. It's got a nice soft, what they call a drool pad right here for the baby

 This one's really cool and this is one of my favorite things about the Poco Plus is it's a sunshade. It has its own pocket for the sunshade that's attached and it deploys in these little clips right here. So you get this, you clip it on and now baby has a perfect sunshade. Doesn't she look all safe in there? And as baby grows bigger, it's got these little stirrups on the side that baby's foot can go in so that that way baby's not dangling their feet

 Come, I wanna show you this. It's got a nice soft, what they call a drool pad right here for the baby. She's also got a headrest back here and a harness. I'm gonna show you how she goes in in a moment, but right in front of the drool pad is also got this front handle and it's got a back handle so you can easily pick this whole thing up when you need to lift it

 They have a lot of these bags that are like cut proof and have extra things on them to like clip in the zippers so people can't pickpocket back here. I'd be really worried if I was using this in urban setting that people would be going through my stuff in any place because I can't really see back there.
