 So It has got a good, casual look and feel as well as an adventurous attitude,. really nice, you know, kind of dual purpose vest here with the Transcendent vest.. We Do have a down fill insulation of a 650 fill power, so it is a relatively light, compressible down insu-lation

.. you know, I am wearing a medium. So I Normally do wear medium and it is fit very nicely

 You know, a nice com-fortable fit. Like I Said, not to snug, but not very loose at all. Now This down is not treated, so if it gets wet, it is going to lose its insulation properties. So Keep that in mind

 They are really comfortable and cozy and the down insulation is ac-tually on the outside of the pocket so it provides some nice warmth for your hands if you are not wearing gloves.. And One of these pockets, I believe it is the right hand, is reversible, so you can pack this guy inside out onto itself and it will zip up nicely, create a nice pack size, maybe a small travel pillow. And There is a nice hang loop in there as well where you can hang it from a harness if you are climbing with it, so a nice additional bonus to the vest there

 Color options are great (burnt orange/navy for me) and give us all that "I'm a grungy mountain person but know how to look good too" vibe we're all hoping for. The fit is better and the hand pockets are way more comfortable for actual warming of hands. Some folks might miss the zip pockets, but not me, the single snap is easy and holds in hats and gloves with ease. It's light, comfortable, and warm-ish

Overall a solid update for the transcendent vest. The updated styling, wider baffles, and more casual-crossover designs make it a good-looking upgrade from past models. Great design, low down; not quite "overhauled to perfection"

 All that said, I like it. I like it for casual use. It looks good, fits well, and has very practical pockets. At 40ish bucks it's a questionable value as a casual vest, but I do happen to like it

Thin vest, questionable quality

 OK if you were to rely on it as a layer, but definitely not the classic "puffy vest" if that is what you're after for the shoulder seasons (which I was, sadly...)

A bit light on the fill...

 A bit snug if I wear a wool sweater but still has good freedom of movement. The pocket lining tends to snag a bit if I have chapped hands so I would suggest a different material for future production.
