And I will just wrap things up with saying that I think parfoams to Marley on the whole absolutely excels and crushes at what I was talking about earlier, which is making higher end fragrances that still retain designer sensibilities in the sense of just making them as wearable as possible. But I think that parfoams to Marley on the whole is much better at making fragrances like this one. You know, your fall and winter time or early spring fragrances that are warmer, richer, denser, deeper, those type of scents, they seem to do a little better

I would describe this fragrance as magnetic and addicting, with a coolness worthy of Jane Birkin - the type of woman who inherited a collection of Hermès scarves from her grandmother but would still eat a scorpion on a dare. **5/5.**.

So I'm an avid fragrance buyer, I have a good sized collection and love discovering new ones. I watch youtube vids on them and after hearing such extensive praise about this line, particularly from Jeremy Fragrance and Demi Rawling (shout outs), I wanted to smell for myself. I was about to order full size bottles just because of how loved it is, but I decided to get some samples first; and I'm glad I did. I'm single but I work with a girl my age, and we've had discussions about perfumes already, so I decided to try it around her without mentioning what it was, or that I was wearing anything at all

 Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. My name is Josephine and on this channel we talk about fragrances. Today's video is everything you need to know before buying Leighton from Parfum de Marly. So Leighton is one of the best selling fragrances from niche brand Parfum de Marly and has been getting a ton of hype on YouTube and on social media in general

 So it opens with a burst of aromatic lavender, which brings this masculine freshness forward and it mingles with a caramelized apple note, which gives it a refreshing crisp green sweetness to this fragrance and adds a lot of charisma to the perfume. So it will really draw you in when you first spray this fragrance. The freshness of this perfume is very similar to the freshness of Boss Bottled Intense eau de parfum, which in my opinion is what gives this fragrance a designer feel. And then in the dry down, this perfume becomes very sweet

 It's above $200 and I think as well in pounds for a 75 ml bottle. So it is quite expensive, but the juice is very easy to understand. It's very easily likable and generally a crowd pleaser. Number two, this fragrance is a sweet but fresh masculine scent

Parfums de Marly is a good house to explore. I would never suggest to blind buy niche fragrances, a bit too expensive

What are some good starter niche fragrance brands?

Sweeter than I thought and scent has no longevity

 Moving along to the scent itself, this one is a warm and spicy fragrance that I think is a year-round kind of versatility type of fragrance, minus the hottest days during the summer. It opens up with a prominent apple note that is strong for a brief period before the lavender and swarm of vanilla appears. In the note breakdown on their site, there is a mention of geranium, violet, and jasmine in the middle notes. However, they aren't easily detected to my nose as the vanilla and pink pepper just hit like a wave that is just lovely as it dries down

This combination of pepper and vanilla almost creates a cinnamon type scent to my nose, despite not being a documented note to the fragrance. And this is likely a result of that spicy and sweet combination that this one projects out with its formulation

 So now for some final thoughts on Layton and just my feel for it. I think this is, when it comes to niche fragrances, just a no-brainer. And that sometimes does not go hand in hand with niche fragrances. They're a little bit more out there in terms of their scent profile, they're not going to be for everybody, but this has a mass appealing nature to it that I see why people just actually love this fragrance

People like it, it gets compliments, it has that designer favorability that some also might question, is it really worth going this direction because you're paying extra money here, you're talking two to three hundred bucks depending on the size. I think for me though, it's definitely worth it

Before You Buy Parfums de Marly Layton - Full Review 2022

I believe they are, I have Creed, MFK, Tom Ford, Parfums de Marly, Bond no 9. I just REALLY enjoy the complexity of the niche perfumes and the more higher end oils and higher end ingredients.

Over the years, I've made a good collection of all types of fragrances ranging from $5 to $250, Prada, YSL, Versace, Hermes, Dior, Creed, D&amp;G, etc. Then I got a few at miniso worth $5 and loved the smell. Longevity wise, they held up really well with the luxury ones, which brings me here with this question

Basically if you want to know how this one smells just imagine an apple pie with some spices that’s what I got from this one not bad but not that monstruos superb fragrance that ppl hypes on YouTube .

I really like the L'homme Ideal line because of the Almond note. I think the dominant cherry note low-key smells like cherry cola and somewhat obscures the almond note in the EDP
