That didn't quite match up to the price, and that is the water repellent finish, didn't really notice that that was on there. It wasn't until I fully read the specs after a couple of hundred miles that I realized that that was on there

 Every single week I recently hiked 210 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail before coming home due to Cove at 19, but just before I got out on trial, I went to the REI store in San Diego and I picked up a pair of the Patagonia Strider hiking Shorts, they cost me $ 69, which is about 55 quid, so they're, not the cheapest shorts on the market. But in this video, I'm explaining to you why you're gon na love them a lot. Agana Striders weigh in at just 107 grams, which is really like they're made out of a fast-drying stretch: ripstop polyester fabric they're coated in a DWR water, repellent finish and they're 100 % polyester, which 42 % of is recycled. [ Music ] they've got a really short fit, which is perfect for mobility

 This campsite provided a flat, soft space under thick tree cover along the Doswallips river. 

Big Agnes Copper Spur - our one and only backpacking tent. There are lighter options but this just works for us. 

I'm giving this a no in the recommendation for that reason, but if you're ok or are willing to risk it to see if yours lasts longer, then that would change my recommendation to a yes

 They're fairly lightweight which is nice. The side pockets can fit a gel each (you can squeeze two in there depending on the size of the gel, but you feel it), and the back pocket fit my keys and held them in place.

Good, but the quality isn't there

 Trust me, you know see my nethers. This pair of shorts has a nice thick waistband, that's almost elastic in itself, so you don't have to rely on just the cord to keep it tight. You do have a drawstring that you can tighten up, not a problem, but the shorts stay on, which is key durability. These shorts were the shorts

 They barely flinched, there's no snags. There'S no poles they're fresh is rain. Fresh is rain. Brand is new

 These are my favorite shorts. I have ever worn yeah, that's a pretty bold statement, but they are. I have tried on my fair share of shorts. I'Ve raced in even more pairs of shorts, absolutely taken almost every single pair of shorts through the gamut

I called Ex Officio and asked if they still made shorts like these and they actually told me they didn’t because nobody wants a 5” inseam. I’m nobody again. Can someone recommend a new pair of UL shorts, 5” inseam (or less), unlined, no drawstring, at least one front or side pocket large enough for my iphone. I wear a 33-34” or Ex Officio Medium if anyone wants to sell me a pair of shorts made in the 90’s.

Lacks durability

 You'Ve got a massive penis go for a 7, its mediocore small go for the 5, so, as you can see, cuz these four huge dumper pockets on it, all of which capable of carrying a full size beer. So that's the four pack of bears attached to your waist amazing. Well, then things you want to keep really secure. Does this really nice zipper pocket in the back, which is also really stretchy, see you can stick your phone or your keys or your wallet or anything you don't want to get lost, goes in the zipper pocket, a real good, strong, elastic, waistband and then they'll also Have this minimal, flap semi stretchy draw cord just you can prop a hunch it down and get a nice snug fit, especially if you're carrying a four pack of bears

 I want to go over respects the pose becomes and summarize, let's get started. These are the 5 inch inseam model and I've had them for about 2,000 miles, although I do wear them on a regular basis. The job in working respects these shorts or size large, and they tip the scales at 113 grams with the liner removed. You can get them in five different sizes

 The price yes too expensive, but if you think it's pair of shorts with a bum bag bill, it kind of makes the price a lot more justifiable. There is a similar style short to this. I haven't tried it made by Decathlon if anyone's use the power of the decathlon shorts with the built-in bum bag. Let me know in the comments and the last massive issue, because I've chopped the line out of the shorts when they do get wet

 The other things I like is they: have these nice little breathe both sides nice little cuts, you get much fun. Ventilation on your legs hang low. The main fabric from these is a 100 % recycled, polyester the pockets at 89 percent recycled polyester, but they also have some elastin in there too, to given up a nice stretch be in Patagonia. They are sewn in a Fairtrade factory, they're about as ethical as you can get for notebook

Come on Patagonia. 65+ dollars for shorts and the label is a sticker. Quit trying to crunch the bottom line on profits so much that the quality is suffering. There are other options out there

Not Great

 There and then on the inside here, a super soft, very breathable, liner material, and it's something that I think Patagonia did better than any other brand, that I I'll tell you what the difference between cheap shorts and expensive shorts when you're just looking at them on the Internet might not seem like too much, but if you actually go to you're running a store and pick up these shorts versus some cheap $ 20 shorts, you're gon na notice a huge difference in the construction quality and the quality of the materials. It doesn't smell. Very much it's got that Patagonia, poly drain treatment, very, very breathable, and they dry very very quickly. So when I get wet either from sweat or rain on really long runs that these guys are dry before I am, and I love that the actual waistband itself is over an inch wide and that's awesome

 You honestly only have about that much string to actually tie your bow in it's not a huge deal because, like I said you don't need to do a great knot to get these guys to stay up. But I honestly think Patagonia tried to save just a couple of cents per shorts. It'S something that annoys me every single time I put them on next up on things that I dislike. I said this fabric dries quickly and it does, but while it's wet, I've never had shorts that cling as much as this fabric

I'Ve put many many hundreds of miles in this exact pair right here through multiple marathon training and Ironman training a little bit about myself.
