 Do you actually use this and how often I mean Not really, right? So yeah, definitely good at last season make it a little bit more cheaper even although it is quite cheap already Anyway, that's gonna be it for my quick little review here. I'm gonna give it a seven point seven out of ten So I mean, yeah The already chassis quality could have been a little bit better the wrist rest could have been a little bit bigger And lose the magnetic stuff here because if I have my wrist on it, it moves too easily It moves too easily and oh, yeah, another thing that I forgot to mention is that all these keys are covered in this You know in this rubbery coating, uh, a lot of you know manufacturers have done this before And i've had it on some mice even But the thing is that this rubber coating tends to peel over a period of time like half a year or a year And it gets sticky and it peels off and it looks awful like that Some manufacturers have told me when i'm asked like straight out Yeah, you use you're using it this on a new laptop Uh, doesn't it peel no, no, we've you know upgraded the technology. It doesn't peel anymore So I don't know what patreon is using it actually What the actual coating is here So hopefully it won't peel in time, but at the moment i'm pretty skeptical of this rubbery coating Um after using some products not made by patreon, of course But some other products and they all have started to peel over time, which I hate But anyway, yeah, that's uh kind of gonna conclude my video here Hope you guys you know learn something about this keyboard and you know have a better understanding, you know Should you buy it or not? I mean over at the end of the video I mean at the end of all right, it is just you know 80 90 bucks for a proper mechanical lever with rgb and stuff like that with n key rollover It's pretty decent. And you can you know scroll the volume up and down really easily so this kinda makes sense, but For me, if you ask me and maybe if I ask you do you have you ever used this thing? I'm pretty sure some of you have had keyboards with these buttons

 So, Patriot sent me their keyboard to check out their wiper Series V765, which yeah, I actually didn't know that the Patriot makes any purples I remember them like 10 plus years ago when I did like extreme overclocking with liquid nitrogen and dry ice and stuff like that and they were a Really good brand memory manufacturer back then and they still do this day They still make memories as well plus all kinds of other stuff which you can, you know, check out on their website, right? But in today's video, I'm going to be checking out their keyboard their mechanical keyboard which yeah uses Kyle's box switches which are linear and Yeah, so I learned as you know, these keyboards do come with different types of you know mechanical switches this one here is with the red switches, so It's it's pretty quiet. You know, it doesn't have the click of Mechanical keyboards, but it's like a proper mechanical red switch, right? But it is box which which is you know, supposedly last longer, you know and also, you know Handles water somewhat better than you know other Switches out there and also is a little bit more dust resistant, right and You know, one of the better features of this keyboard is of course It does have in key roll over so you can push a lot of buttons at the same time And causing no issues, right? But yeah overall, you know, it's a $90 keyboard 90 euros around 90 euros in Europe, right and For that price. I mean, it's pretty decent RGB keyboard It is on the budget side, right? The Patriot Viper V765 Gaming RGB Keyboard Review by Tanel

 Hopefully, they have some sort of customer service.  I really like the feel of this keyboard but it's a little louder than I wanted. My biggest problem is the volume wheel sometimes keeps increasing the volume even though I am not longer moving the wheel. It happens enough that it's annoying and I have to make sure it's not doing it whenever I use it now

 So minus another star. We are down to three. Hopefully, they have some sort of customer service.  I really like the feel of this keyboard but it's a little louder than I wanted

 I would have preferred to see this be a little bit longer Construction wise it's a fairly rigid keyboard. It does have a little bit of wobble to it if you like bend it But no one actually uses their keyboards like this. So that's pretty much a useless test But When it's on your desk There's really no flex or wobble to it at all Maybe a little at the top, but I've got a press on the keyboard to make it do that under regular typing force It's not moving at all. So a plus on on rigidity I would say I do like the the red braided cable and I also appreciate that for being a full Customizable RGB keyboard

 That's very pleasant Feels very much like a blue maybe even slightly stiffer than a blue But that same tactical feel you come to expect from a cherry MX blue. That's very nice. Got a rocker control knob media keys along the top How does it I'm not sure how well this is gonna do in gaming because the resistance on it, but this is a wonderful typing keyboard Oh, I can already tell that much so it comes with a looks like magnetic wrist rest. Oh, that's very nice digging that The wrist rest is a little short for for my liking Obviously, I have fairly large hands

 I Didn't see that so f12 appears to be your custom light profile setup And what that allows me to do is without using software on the keyboard itself set up a custom lighting profile Yeah, so let's do f12. Like I did goes beyond the resistance rating of this keyboard But it's nice to know that it actually works So we'll change it back to a reactive look we're still working Now as this is only a resistant rating, it's not IP 67 or 68 rated or anything like that I would certainly let this keyboard dry out for a excessively long time after I soaked it in water But as someone who has killed a mechanical keyboard by spilling a beer on it That is a pretty awesome feature to have especially in a $90 keyboard with the other features of this board that you're getting Sturdy construction great programmability excellent lighting effects, even though I can't figure out how to actually turn on or off those side lights Maybe I'll have to read the manual so quick addendum here I was in the middle of getting my video edited and the keyboard started freaking out This is all it does anymore. Now. The keyboard does still work all the keys still work I did test that but the RGB lighting seems to have taken a little bit of a hit with the The the water now again, this isn't IP 67 or 68 rated

 This is only supposed to be water resistant but the RGB seems to have suffered some negative consequences from my Great amount of water that I spilled on it. So keep that in mind. It's not perfect. It's definitely not waterproof Maybe when this dries out everything will work just fine But at the moment, that's what I'm getting and just as I suspected about 30 minutes later I'm almost done with the raw cut of my edit here and the keyboard RGB has returned so this is definitely not a waterproof keyboard or an IP rating of 67 68 whatever but It is nice to know that it will survive a basic spill like this again I would not go around just dumping water on your keyboard, but it's nice to know that it will survive it That's gonna do it for me in this one guys

$90 Programmable Mechanical Keyboard - Viper V765 Review

Switches are great (can't go wrong with kailh box switches), keycaps on the cheap side but that is not a huge deal to me. What detracts most is the crap software, volume rocker that is worthless and a spacebar that hangs at the bottom of the keystroke and I have to occasionally manually pick it back up. It is just appalling bad and is just slow to rise when you bottom out the key press. And this is my experience after having used this board for a year

Decent but heavily flawed.

 These are the clicky version with a 3.6 millimeter travel with a 50 gram actuation and a 60 gram bottom out I don't know if numbers are useful to you guys, but it makes me sound smart So I'm gonna use numbers more often Honestly, I think this keyboard is sold by the switch Like people would consider buying this keyboard if they really want these kale box switches, and they also want RGB. I took a look at mechanicalkeyboards.com and it's pretty much the only sort of like kale box switches That are more on the enthusiast side

 Obviously, you can't do that Damn, this sucks This keyboard uses the typical thin ABS caps that comes in most of the mainstream keyboards For the price, it's okay. You get RGB you get a switch that's harder to find So I guess you can overlook this one on the other hand if you want PBT With these kind of sort of gamer keyboard then your only choice is pretty much the K70 SE If you're planning on going to more enthusiast route, I'm pretty sure you can find other keyboards with PBT But the price may be on the higher side It may be on the a lot of higher side like a lot higher than what you normally would think a keyboard would cost If you guys think the K95 is expensive Then you truly do not know what expensive is when it comes to these enthusiasts keyboards This is not a cheap hobby. It is Annoying how you would need to push apply to make the lighting effects But that's nitpicking the thing that I hate about the software is that the keyboard will just downright do not work Unless it either detects the software or there's some kind of connectivity issue There are many times When I plug in the keyboard, it will just not work and when I set certain lighting effects hit apply nothing happens. I Would have to either close reopen the software restart the computer or uninstall the software and reinstall the software Just to set certain lighting effects

 I Think you can certainly do better especially now where we live in a world where $50 brings you a really good RGB gaming keyboard These run-of-the-mill guys need to think of other things and make people buy their keyboard One of the things that I would immediately do is fix the software put layers of lighting effects Since it's RGB. It should be able to compete with the bigger boys I would market this keyboard to people that work in harsh condition because it's water and dust resistance with that box switch Price is just price so you could try to low bought a competition But I think it's a lot better if you can justify the price with value. I would definitely scrap those co-stars Stabilized your key cap kind of deal. It kills aftermarket if you're planning on customizing your keyboard For the wrist rest

 Good job Remember not too long ago when I say that it's easier to find Aftermarket keycaps. Well, I'm taking that back because This keyboard use a weird blend of cold star stabilizer This is the kind of stabilizer where the key cap has the placement slot for the metal wires This mean you can't find many if any key caps replacement So the keyboard is gonna look weird if you start buying aftermarket key caps Like you're gonna lose that uniformity look in some ways this is worse than the typical cold star stabilizers because At least with those guys You can remove the plastic pieces take a hell of a long time trying to adjust them But it's gonna work for this keyboard. Patriot Viper Gaming V765 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review (Kailh Box White Switch)

I like this keyboard. Looks good, lighting is bright. Software seems to work fine. Key switches are nice and tactile

 If it works, it works and I'm certainly glad I got this one because it kind of shows me that going with more quality version of a keyboard can certainly have its benefits and over this one I was using that might be 50 bucks on Gearbest or Aliexpress I Definitely feel the difference in the typing experience and you know it's definitely worth its weight in gold. but in the box does did have a key puller. you had some Viper stickers, a little quick start guide as well as the wrist rest and that's not much else but heck you don't need anything else. It's a keyboard, has the braided cable and everything it is attached

 I like hearing myself type. my wife absolutely hates it but they have these kale switches and you know the the white are clicky and they sound on whatever. but their Reds are soft and linear so you do have that option if you can find that version of the keyboard. but you know what? I'm not much of peripheral guy I've had the same keyboard for a while and I don't actively seek them because you know I'm just kind of got it

 It's super super nice. really nice switches on it I Have no complaints with the build quality or anything. It's got a braided cable for the USB comes with a little you know tie so you can wrap it up if it's too long. Comes with a set of media keys as well stop start and replay and back and forward plus a little scroll wheel here that you can turn the volume up and down or click it to mute which is really nice

 and it is the V765 which is their second best gaming keyboard so there is one that's a little bit higher than that. We'll look at that in the product stack here, but if you want to check out the features, it's got an aircraft grade aluminum top RGB 16 million colors. It's water and dust resistant I don't really know I'm not gonna go pour water on it to check it out, but I would imagine the way that the switches are put in there. it waters more likely to fall off of it then you know, fall into it I wouldn't pour a whole can of coconut or anything, but it's got customizable software and kale switches

The Viper V765 is satisfying as heck...

Great keyboard and I loved it, up until when i turned off my computer and noticed the keyboard beeps pretty loudly. the only thing that will stop it is unplugging it from my computer, upon reconnection, it doesnt make the sound anymore. This is something im not willing to do every time i shutdown. Great keyboard otherwise

 You can use the app to set all of the same lighting effects and custom profiles that are available via keyboard shortcuts and get free-grained control over the RGB values for each custom key. In the app you can create series of keyboard macros but there are plenty of therapy macro apps for windows that offer more functionality. You can also turn up the response time and report rate to try to decrease lag. On the bright side, you don't need to run the Viper software in the background, so it doesn't need app memory unless you're using it, and you don't need to use it even for creative profiles

You can also create up to 5 custom profiles that have individual keys light up in whatever colour you choose. So if you want the WASD keys plus the IO and P2B custom colours, this is where you can do it

 It would be nice if the Viper's cable was removable for wear portability, but most of full-size keyboards also use built-in cables, presumably to prevent you from accidentally yanking them out. Like many of its competitors, the Patriot Viper V765 has keys that support 16.8 million different colours and each one is programmable. Unlike most other RGB keyboards, this one has attractive light strips on left and right sides of the chassis
