Pentel P225

I have loved mechanical pencils since I was a kid, my first mechanical pencil was a Pentel P225 my dad brought me home from work, I still have it and I use it almost every day. I always had the cheaper mechanical pencils in school(minus the P225) and recently I started collecting nicer drafting style ones. I had been looking for another P225 to add to the fleet and I found this one pretty much for the price of a loose one which was pretty cool.

The P225 is my main nostalgia pencil, and I used a black P225 like this one throughout high school and college. The Pentel 11 is one of my favorites, and so far is the only one I have with the 4mm tip. It is the main reason I went for the lot. I find it more comfortable than the P205, and with the high clip position, nice ribbed grip, and all metal mechanism, I like it better than the P205.

P205 and P225 are generally robust and don’t care. I used them as shop pencils for years, and used to trim the point with a Dremel, so the pipe wouldn’t get bent when the pencil rolled off the bench and hit the deck.
