I feel like I'm missing something. I'm searching for a good mechanical pencil that comes with eraser refills (very important), but I'm struggling to find good looking &amp; decent priced ones. Almost all the mechanical pencils I'm seeing don't even have erasers. Why though? Isn't the ability to erase like a fundamental part of a pencil? Also, any recommendations for a mechanical pencil that comes with eraser and lead refills? thanks

Why don't all mechanical pencils have erasers, and can refill erasers?

Mine is the Alvin DM07. Just recently got the old version with the urethane coating but it had a broken middle ring that’s made of plastic so I replaced it with a metal one from a spare I had. I preferred the newer style knurling so I switched that on as well so it’s basically a modern style DM07 with an older barrel.

I love how it feels so natural in my hand and just holding it inspires me to draw and write. I have extra coarse hands so the knurling feels really comfortable to me and having that stainless steel grip gives it the perfect weight. Also with all the component swapping, it makes it feel unique and extra personal. 

I love seeing all the collections but I’ll love to also learn what you love about your favorite MP.

What is your favorite Mechanical Pencil and what about it brings you joy?

Started a job where I use a mechanical pencil all day, what do I need to know?

 My one huge complaint (and the reason for a 4 star) is that the grip is not a perfect fit (at least on the black barreled one, as I have not tried out the blue barrel yet). By this I mean in certain positions you can feel the grip pulling away form the barrel underneath. Certainly not a deal breaker, but an imperfection none the less. THe barrel itself does have a slight flex to it, but nothing out of the ordinary, and nothing I expect will lead to breakage
