 And if you want to just to see your heartbeat, you just click the middle button here and it will tell you your heart rate and everything else. Also to access the fitness tracking options, if you're going to go for a run, it's very easy. Press the middle button, click run and that's it. And it's done

 This has many great features, built-in GPS, which is very accurate and waterproof. And it can pretty much track all your movements, from your sleep to your running. Pretty much whatever you do all day, if you keep this on, it will track it for you. And it does it in a very simple and easy way

 So if I receive any call messages, I can see everything here, which is pretty great. And we have a flashlight here actually too, which turns the whole screen into like bright and it works out very well. So let's go ahead and take a look at the settings here a little bit. We have the brightness here

 And this will also, as you see here, GPS and the heart rate here. This will, as soon as everything is solid, everything is good. So we have cycling, strength training, group exercise, other indoor, pretty much anything you want here. So let's go ahead and click running here

Polar M600 Review - Android Wear Fitness watch

Polar M600, cost ~140$. Pros:. * Synced with my Polar Flow app, very precise in step count and gave detailed information on my activity throughout the day, week and month.

 I'm a fairly avid, but intermediate runner. I wanted the watch to display my heart rate, time, pace, and distance simultaneously. It needed to have GPS functionality (standalone). I also wanted to know my time in each heart rate zone for zone training

 If you are willing to pay more, I highly recommend the Garmin Fenix 3HR or Fenix 5. I went with the latter and it rarely leaves my wrist. Otherwise, consider Garmin's lower end Forerunner models or any of the more simple GPS/HR offerings from Polar. If you were willing to spend the money for the Polar M600 however, just go buy the Garmin Forerunner 235 now

 This is sound advice for any wrist based heart rate monitor, and to this end the strap has been designed with some stretch to the material. The unfortunate side effect of this is that that soft supple rubber attracts ever piece of lint and dust you could imagine, and in very short order it tends to look filthy. You will not be sliding your hand in and out of any pockets with ease if they are deep, as you'll find the watch bites into any fabric it contacts. This alone makes the watch impractical for daily wear, both due to the effect it has on functionality and the fact that you'll undoubtedly become bothered by the constant dirty appearance of your watch

 It needed to have GPS functionality (standalone). I also wanted to know my time in each heart rate zone for zone training.  Let me say, this watch delivered. I knew it had each of these features before purchasing, and it checked all the boxes for me

 And you'll see there, it went ahead and just started that run immediately and started up the Polar Flow app. You'll also see on the back, I started the optical heart rate sensor. So one thing to keep in mind here, though, is that at this point, it did this without actually waiting for me. So it didn't turn on the GPS, or if it did, it's not found because I'm inside

 There we go, Bluetooth. You'll see my devices and you'll see the Power Beats are connected right there. And I can also then scan for other Bluetooth devices. So the cool part here is that on this watch, with GPS active and the Alpha heart rate sensor and music streaming via Bluetooth, it'll get about six hours of battery life, which is really darn impressive for this particular class of device to do all those things at once

 It didn't even give me the option to ask for the GPS and didn't find my heart rate. And if I hold my fingers for long enough, it'll go ahead and eventually find my heart rate on it. But I wish it would just pause at that screen. That allows you to go ahead and then choose the actual activity I wanted to, or at least set run and wait for me to press the start button

 Just a handful of apps have been bloated on this base unit itself. If I go back up here and tap the Polar app, I then get the training menu that I can dive into and that'll go ahead and ask me if I want to use my schedule run for the day. I'm going to choose no and go ahead and just be able to choose an activity from the list here. Now you'll see when I go ahead and enable that it's going to turn on those optical heart rate sensors on the back to go ahead and measure my heart rate

Polar M600 & Android Wear: A complete overview

I'm aiming for a polar vantage v2. Right now I'm using the m600 but the battery time sucks as it's an Android wear device.

 Those 5 miles take me about 80-85 minutes. That's okay -- run your own race. But that brings up the first issue: battery life. I have to charge my watch every day -- usually for more than an hour which means "I just charge it while I shower" isn't totally accurate

On most days, the charge lasts from when I pull it off of the charger until I finish the next morning's jog and takes about 70% of the battery. So "two days" would mean "two days without working out at all" at best

 Before I could go workout, I had to charge the battery for a while.  Second, there's no continuous monitoring. For that, you'll need a 3rd party app (I'm using Cardiogram).  Finally, I've got a very serious concern about reliability

I used to have a Basis Peak, which I really loved. Unfortunately, that product went belly-up in about the worst way that I could imagine. In my search for a replacement, I narrowed things down to this watch or a Pebble. I ended up choosing the Polar, and since Fitbit bought Pebble and shut them down, I have to say that I'm pretty happy with that call

 But yeah, just the overall good smartwatch. The only thing is, obviously, because of that 500 milliamp battery, it's very bulky. I look at it more as a fitness tracker that happens to have Android Wear 2.0, rather than an Android Wear 2

 If you go into Ultra Super Saving mode, then, you know, you can get nearly four days, close to a week, of battery life out of this smartwatch. And, you know, that's also good for when you're using the GPS. You don't, you know, necessarily have to charge it straight away. After doing your exercise using the GPS, you can kind of, you know, use your GPS, cycle to work, use it as a watch at work, and then use the GPS and cycle home and still have enough juice to bring you in to the next day as long as you don't use GPS that day as well

 Which is quite a big thing for, you know, these fitness smartwatches because obviously I've got a TicWatch there and once you use the GPS, that better be the only thing you're using that day because there will be no battery life left in that thing afterwards. Apart from that, you know, it's really snappy. The operating system's nice, you know, you can go with this kind of thing. It's got the Polar Training app which, you know, does sleep tracking, obviously exercise tracking, heart rate

 I've played squash with this, you know, I've just had it on non-stop and no matter how much you bang it or drop it kind of thing, this protective casing that it's in, you know, it just protects it from all the shocks. And obviously, if it ever gets tatty, you can just take the watch out, replace the band and, you know, keep it moving. That is a look at the device right there. It's got like a magnetic charger on the bottom here, if you was wondering what that is

Polar M600 AndroidWear 2.0 Review - 1 Year Later

 unfortunately it's bluetooth connectivity is terrible when doing anything other than sitting perfectly still, not a very good attribute for a workout watch. lots of skips and headphones drops the connection several times in a short 5k run. the problem is not with the headphones they work perfectly with my phone while running, but my goal was to leave that behind. if your needs are similar I would recommend getting a different Polar product and buying headphones with onboard music player that's what I did

 Those of us that train seriously don't just want a decent fitness tracker. We need a product that's truly smart and for those of us, there's the Polar M600. I've been testing the M600 for the last couple of weeks and it has quickly become my weapon of choice at the gym or on the road. If you're wondering what makes the M600 so special, these are the top 5 reasons why I continuously drift to it

 Once your training is done, Polar Flow kicks in with detailed information of what you did and how you performed. And since your performance is synced with the cloud, it doesn't really matter if you unpair the M600 and pair it with another phone, all your information and even your training settings are transferred to that next smartphone. The fourth reason, it's crazy customizable. My biggest complaint with your standard fitness watch is that it can only track certain activities and then many companies just abandon their devices with few to little or none software updates

 Usually fitness watches take forever to do this and that's the main reason why they're always almost a quarter of a mile behind your average smartphone. But this is not a problem with the M600. And I also love the visual cue that you get whenever the device locks your position through the GPS. 3

 1. It was designed to be beat up. The main problem with the basic smartwatch is that it's too fragile for a workout. And then the most popular fitness trackers are not designed to allow you to replace the bands which is just an irony

5 years of pitiful responses with no results from the polar side and similar results on the Myfitnesspal side. No idea why it would take them this long to get the app working.  Bottom line: If you want an awesome fitness tracker that doesn't integrate with Myfitnesspal or you are the only person in the world using a polar watch instead of an apple watch with your IOS device, buy it. Otherwise, avoid
