[Question] Best Bedroom Amp under 300?

 I didn't need anything any more than about 40-50w, to be honest.  When I saw all of the advertised features for this amp, I was intrigued, so I watched many YouTube video reviews and they all seemed positive, so I gave it a shot.. I was most looking forward to the auto-chord learning feature

 I just needed to be a good sounding amp, barring any of the promised bells and whistles and it couldn't even do that.

 But even with that feature, one tone would be blasting loudly while another would be fairly quiet. Again, have the amp's physical volume override any presets, even if that's a setting you have to switch on.  All in all, I would have even kept it had it just sounded pleasant for the most part. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I will pay more for something that sounds good and I couldn't get past the muddiness of the speaker sound

I didn't want to have to modify and save volume presets for each one because the amp would blare out every time I changed to a different amp/preset.  I think some people were saying that it's just a matter of taste in the "bassy-ness" of the tone, but it's not something I wanted to deal with any more, so I initiated a return

I really wanted to like this amp..

 You can operate it just like this. You plug your guitar into it and just play. or you can utilize it with a phone app that helps you dial in those tones and get you a bunch of different other stuff. It can be used with acoustic and electric guitars as well as bass, but something that I really want to check out about this thing are the smart Jam features

It'll listen to what you play and automatically make it a little backing track for you

 [Music] [Music] And now we can get into the true beauty of this amp. I Now have it set up through my regular setup. There is a direct out so if you do not have an audio interface, you can go directly into your computer. but I have it coming out the headphone jack into my audio interface

 Other features you have on this include a metronome which is great for someone like me because I don't play in time very well and you can also set the tempo by tapping it. so let's make it go fast. [Music] I Think the absolute best feature about this thing is the fact that it can listen to any song and then it'll tell you the chords that are in it so it will give you the metronome reading. It'll also give you a backing track or it'll play drums for you too

Great App, Bad Speaker Quality

 Now in terms of the amps. the dumbbell is just a really, really warm, full kind of tube amp tone. Great clean platform if you need something just as I mentioned, like a big full tone. Now the Blues Junior

 I think that Dumble and this, uh, clone pedal the Clone clone, uh, really kind of complement each other. Really nice. That's some cool tone. I'll play something a little bit up higher here

 Yeah, just a really warm enveloping kind of tone. Now let's engage the Eq and I'm going to give it a little smiley face. The classic. There we go and play the kind of the same thing, so definitely adds a little shimmer to the high end and gets rid of some of those like really, really intense lows

 In front of each one of the amps, it just did something different, which again speaks to the programming that these guys have done. So really great. Now in terms of the amps. the dumbbell is just a really, really warm, full kind of tube amp tone

I want to buy my first amp and I’m looking at options. I was first looking for any amps with Bluetooth built in so I can just plug my phone in and play music through it to jam along with while it all goes through a pair of headphones. But the salesperson at guitar center told me that isn’t common in amps and the sound quality wouldn’t be very good for the music. 

Are there any universal home practice setups you all recommend for me? Like an amp plus some other piece of equipment? 

I was researching all these different things and it was making my head hurt so I figured I’d stop in here.

[Question] Best home setup for headphones and backing tracks (for beginner)

 And it came fast. And when I first started playing with it. It sounded really good. Sound quality was as good as any of my line 6 gear But I quickly ran in to the first big problem

 And when I 1st saw this amp. I was impressed. By it's features that do cover a wide range of tools. I had been pusing Line 6 gear for a good good while

 It sounded really good. Sound quality was as good as any of my line 6 gear But I quickly ran in to the first big problem. It has no way if turning on individual effects on the fly. You have to une there app to adjust

 For instance, I made a tone called Takasaki z-- revenge. you guys can guess what that as a reference to and I uploaded it onto the library. So now anybody with one of these amps and the app can download that tone. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] So the ability to have this really deep control over the sound of the amplifier is a huge part of it

 Of course, you've got your standard controls: gain, bass, mid, treble, Master I've got a couple controls for the effects, modulation, and delay. You got a reverb control and then the overall master output right there. But to call this you know, just another combo amplifier that really doesn't even do it justice. Because where this amplifier really comes alive is when you pair it with the app

 It's got this cool gold piping here on the top, you know, some some grill cloth in the front here. It's got a nice big handle on top, not too heavy, easy to take with you, all these knobs and everything. These feel really, really solid.
