I like avenged sevenfold and as well as bands like plini and polyphia if that helps at all and I know I would be along way away from playing songs from them as a beginner but I figured I would throw that in there if it matters at all lol thank you.

[NEWBIE] New to the world of Guitars

This is my go to guitar next to my acoustic. I can hear it without the amp so I like to pick it up and fiddle around and it’s easier on my fingers than a box. Also sounds beautiful with the amp. I would definitely purchase again!

I love this guitar! It’s great quality and lite compared to other electric guitars.

 I would take it out to your garage or outside and spray it and be where it's going to get kind of everywhere and just clean it up. You know, with the dry cloth it'll be fine. Now let's try this neck pickup so we're on the bridge again. [music] Go that neck pickup

 So it's it's mahogany maple. and then the maple veneer. This one is light. In fact, you know, as you guys know, I like light guitars

 They are polished. They feel great. So I'm going to grab some deoxit. We'll clean the switch out, hopefully that'll fix it

 Uh, they're the same. This is the same weight pretty much. of course. it has the typical Sc bridge that's not new and everything else is standard that I know about

[Question] Whats the best punk rock guitar from 3 to 500 dollars

 Components don't feel cheap. Connections are pretty clean. I'm not worried about the reliability here at all. One small nitpicky point: I've been pretty vocal about not really liking the look of these mini toggles as I mentioned in the intro, Prs guitars are known for being very deliberate in all their design choices from hardware to aesthetics, and on the Sc with the flat top, shallow violin carve, it kind of looks like an aftermarket mod

 [Music] There are better pickups for modern high gain, but a lot of those don't sound great for the other stuff, whereas these are fantastic all-rounders Something that Tci has done though is that when you split the pickups, there isn't a massive volume drop. There isn't a huge spike in noise either, and these actually sound like single coils. So basically, while some guitars use a million different pickup configurations as a marketing gimmick, all the configurations available here are actually very musically usable inside the guitar. Here's the wiring job

 Prs by comparison is a much younger company. It was founded in 1985 and guitar design choices have been from the beginning much more deliberate. which brings us to this new for 2022 Sc standard 2408 And huge thanks to Prs for sending this guitar over for us to check out together and for sponsoring the video. Let's talk about the PRS SE Standard 24-08

I have a PRS SE that is made in Korea and it’s superb. The binding is immaculate and the neck is fantastic. Feels like a solid guitar and plays like a dream from the factory setup. Huge step up from my Squier which I played for a couple of years

Little story here... I bought a PRS Silver Sky earlier this year. It had tons of QC issues, so I returned it and bought another one. That one had a ton of QC issues. Returned it, and bought a 3rd. I thought for sure as a PRS, 3rd time would be a charm. Nope. Returned. I was bummed because the guitar itself is awesome. (The QC issues were cracks in finish, chipped pickguard, eraser size dent in the fretboard, one of them had a rough finish near the neck pocket like it wasnt sanded,.... just a huge mess. I was stunned for a $2500 strat.)  

ANYWAYS. I saw a Sterling StingRay bass on sale for $230, and really have been wanting to get a bass. It arrived without a case, in some bubble wrap from Guitar Center. That had a me a bit worried.  

This thing is nearly immaculate. Fret work is perfect, nut was cut right, the finish is nice, straight neck, and it was perfectly in tune. WTF? A made in Indonesia guitar is better than a made in America PRS? I know it has cheap electronics and cheaper materials, but holy smokes i'm blown away. It plays like a dream.  

Are all of the made in Indonesia guitars/basses made in the same factory? If so, I might be checking out a new 6 or 7 string soon.

[Question] Am I sleeping on the "Made in Indonesia" guitars?

 We have a rosewood fretboard that is beautifully bound. When I say bound. this little cream colored stripe along here and the body, which we referred to as binding is not only just something, that kind of sets it off aesthetically, it makes it very comfortable to play. Very smooth transition as you move up and down the fretboard between the wood of the neck, the binding, and the fretboard and the frets up here

 And they've done a great job of taking their build, quality, sound, playability, and putting it into a 499 guitar here. What's it made out of? Got a mahogany body. We have a maple neck. It is a set neck

 And as I've said in the other videos, there are less expensive guitars than the ones that we are featuring here. But we really like these because whether this is a first guitar for a beginner that you're shopping for, whether it's an already proficient musician who you want to pick up a second guitar for, these are where you go. If you're a beginner, there is nothing in these guitars it's ever going to stand in your way of getting better. Well-constructed good components in them, They're going to stay in tune, they're going to be comfortable to play, and they're going to make you want to play, which is what every musician's looking for in their instrument

 But anyway, this one we've got here actually comes in close to our peak level here. This is, uh, a Paul Reed Smith S E Standard 24 comes in at 499 dollars, But for those of you who know the name Paul Reed Smith, you know that that name is associated with some of the highest quality and most expensive American guitars that are being mass produced right now. And they've done a great job of taking their build, quality, sound, playability, and putting it into a 499 guitar here. What's it made out of? Got a mahogany body

Favorites Under 500 (2020) - PRS  SE Standard 24

That being said, especially your budget is on the somewhat lower end, even though they aren't necessarily thought of as traditional "metal guitars" I *really* recommend you at least try out a PRS SE standard 24. They are insanely solid quality for $500ish, have 24 frets, have a floating bridge that you can bomb the hell out of in both directions without losing tuning at all, plus they play phenomenally overall. If you're looking to spend a little more there is the SE custom that's in the 700-800 range, and then there are obviously a whole lot of PRS options if you are looking to spend more than that. But the SE standard is solid

I currently have been playing a MIM strat for about 5 years and I love it but its 21 frets and have also been into 80s hair metal and that style for a long time so something like ibanez stands out, I am looking on facebook market but could use some suggestions for a new metal style guitar that has potentially 24 frets.

[QUESTION] need a second electric guitar

 The pickups are the 85/15 S's which to my ears sound extremely close if not exactly spot-on to the Us-built core 8515 pickups which I absolutely love. Very articulate. They've got a warmth to them, but they're very modern, almost hi-fi top-end so both abound. Body and neck

 Clean. but I Love the way they take game. There's clarity, there's punch, and even like rolling the volume back, they clean up beautifully. So here's full full volume [Music] you [Music] Neck pickup rolled back [Music] Just a super, super versatile guitar

 Mahogany body Oh solid mahogany body and a maple wide thin neck. On the 24 fret rosewood fingerboard. Volume Tone Tone has a push-pull so you can do Kol split or humbucker. It's got the PRS patented molded trim and PRS design tuners

 There's clarity, there's punch, and even like rolling the volume back, they clean up beautifully.
