Q Acoustics 3030i

Hello guys, so this is are my first steps on the audiophile’s world, I wanted to start slowly and with low budget equipment on mind, I don’t know if this was a great idea or a terrible one but here I am, I bought a pair of Q Acoustics 3030i paired with a Yamaha RN303, these both are doing the job for now, I’m currently playing almost everything from Tidal on the receiver or conectes to AUX to my Mac, since the latest Macs have a decent DAC, 24 bits/196khz capable according to Apple, I guess I’m getting high quality audio to my system. Also the salesman told me that maybe I’ll need some acoustic treatment on my room, but since I don’t know what is that yet, I’m open to suggestions. What do you thing?

After some consideration and of course the generous help and recommendations of this subreddit I settled on some Q acoustics 3030i speakers. I had old jbl ones before and the difference is night and day. They sound so much larger (which they also are) and brighter with more definition in bass and so much clearer mids.

ELAC debuts are usually about $300 as well. I think those might be a little warmer and have a touch more bass than the KEF, but I’m not 100% sure. I use a pair of Q Acoustics 3030i, paired with a Yamaha receiver, and an AT120x turntable, and I absolutely love it. I agree with the other posters, first order of business would be new speakers…you will get the most bang for your buck that way.
