QNAP TS-451D2-4G

Both are rock solid. Own NASs from both companies. QNAP edges it out for me, especially for Plex and the sheer amount of connectivity, options to upgrade to boost performance etc....

I had this issue on 4.5.4, even though memory usage wasn't near 100% it'd fill up anyways and start closing out apps. Eventually, it went away, I guess an update resolved it, but it was a problem for probably half a year or more. Just one of the many reasons this QNap is my last.

Good NAS for what it’s for. Horrible for security. Within a few months I had to format and start over. It got hit with ransomware. They came out with a patch but if you already did certain things (I did) the patch wouldn’t work.

Definitely not for the inexperience person who only use a computer to browse the web. Clunky and sluggish user interface with way too many menus to navigate to, just to do something basic.
