While it seems gimmicky at first, the canopy is actually pretty nice, especially as the day heats up and shade becomes increasingly necessary. The shade is also adjustable, making both blocking the sun and getting in and out of the chair without ducking easy. 
As far as the seat goes, our testers found it to be average. We wish it was a bit more breathable and had some more support. Unless camp chair seats are pretty taut, they tend to round the user's back, which can be uncomfortable for longer periods. We also wish that the chair was a little easier to get into the bag, as all the extra canopy fabric makes packing it up an annoying task.  and again, most chairs that I've found that fold down for easy portability don't do that. So out watching your kids soccer game, going to the river lot, whatever you're doing, you're gonna be nice and comfortable in this chair. My wife's about 5 foot 6, she said she's also very comfortable in the chair. So yeah, it's one of the most comfortable chairs portable chairs I've ever found now

 and although it's not the smallest carry bag ever, it's also not the smallest chair ever. But I'm 6 foot 2 and it holds me comfortably with which most folding chairs portable chairs can't boast about. So I will take this. It's relatively lightweight and so I'm very happy with the size of weight in terms of portability, especially given the comfort that this chair provides me

 So I'm sitting here watching or hanging out I don't want the Sun I just pull this down I set the height where I want it to be and now I'm sitting in the shade. My face is totally not covered by the Sun not getting hit by the Sun and it's a very comfortable experience. if the Sun we're coming from the side and I didn't want to turn my chair, I could do this I could adjust it this way I can adjust it pretty much any way that I want to. and again if I were shorter but I wanted it low to my head I can do that too so that is pretty much it

 My wife's about 5 foot 6, she said she's also very comfortable in the chair. So yeah, it's one of the most comfortable chairs portable chairs I've ever found now. Nice convenience feature is it has double cup holders one on each side so you can have your water bottle on one side and your beer, your wine on the other. Or if you're going for the party, just double beer or wine and keep it going without having to get up anytime soon

I weigh 150 pounds. Sat down and the side completely broke. I lost the receipt so I doubt I can return it. Maybe this would work for people who weigh 100 and under?
