 Then torque the bottom two bolts. This makes it easier to get even torque and even pressure across the faceplate, which matters with carbon bars.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time on these bars (probably around 700 miles), riding everything from big backcountry loops to laps in the Whistler bike park. After all of that, everything about these bars falls right in line with my prior conclusions: I like how Race Face bars ride. They just hit a nice blend of stiffness for steering precision, while also doing a decent job of damping out vibrations to help keep my hands from hurting.

 But the carbon over the alloy is well worth the extra $$$ you can just feel it (or not!) makes riding feel like you're in a puddle of butter. Alloy is jst cold and hard, where as the carbs just give you a different feel somehow, just as stiff but no buzz.

The rise @ 20mm is bang on also and sweep is just perfect, it's like holding on to a woman. They do mark easily when the controls are slide on but who cares? I ride my bike, not look at it. It's there to be used and abused, not for others to look at!

Super light, Super strong

It has a great shape that looks right and feels right.  Specifically, the Next R has a bit less rise than the Next and SixC (all three at 20mm rise), and, feel-rise, there is enough vibration dampening to let you know that it's carbon.
