Overall, I would definitely give this product line a 9 out of 10..

The decision for me is always based on budget: if I can splurge, I will get a medium-high priced shampoo, never anything super-top-tier (Redken ultra soft is my favorite, my mom and I have used it for ages and in terms of the "salon tier" shampoos/conditioners, I think it's outstanding). However, if I'm not in a position to splurge, I think that drugstore shampoos work just as well -- it's just trickier finding one that consistently works the way you want. I'd avoid any shampoo with SLS, but also wouldn't necessarily go *super* crunchy. L'Oreal has a vegan, non-SLS shampoo (it comes in an upright, sleek, squeeze bottle) that I think is an amazing dupe for some salon tier brands I've used, and it's about $7 or $8/bottle.

Sounds like damage from the bleach and dye. Switch to a sulfate-free shampoo (Redken All Soft has sulfates) and conditioner and use a deep conditioning hair mask that is also sulfate-free (I like Sauce Guacamole Whip). A microfiber towel or a tshirt can help dry your hair with less damage than a regular towel. Try to limit heat styling too (blow drying, straightening, curling) and always use a heat protectant spray prior to any heat styling you do.

The 'light' hydration is perfect, my hair feels soft and healthy. It's under $10 at Walmart too. I love Redken All Soft Heavy Cream when my hair is damaged or feels dry.
