Favorite car camping tent

I got the REI base camp 4, which is perfect for me, my lady, and my pup. Fits a queen size mattress with plent of room to walk around the edge you walk in and room for gear at the foot of the mattress. We didn’t want a 6p tent because if you camp in a storm they act like a parachute.

Car Camping Set Up

My wife and I car camp with the REI base camp 4 tent and are very happy with it. It is a solid three season tent. We are able to fit a queen sized air mattress in it plus have some room extra room for miscellaneous items.

Realize I’m likely overthinking things, but first time camping with kids

Alright, OP here. So I happened to find myself in REI today and scored a base camp 4 from their garage sale for $164 — opened it up and nothing appears to be wrong with it, there were no notes on the return tag, so the salesperson offered to accept a return if we had any issues. Also found a few sleeping bags at sierra yesterday (Nor’east trek and trail) and snagged those because, why not.
