 All in all, you get what you pay for, and I paid $12, so I shouldn't have been expecting more from it. I learned my lesson and am taking it back today.

But the iron is quick to heat, holds the heat well, the 'tongue' that holds the hair while curling has good tension. It's not too tight so you can slide the rod to the end of the hair to begin the curl. And not so loose you lose the hair and can't start a curl.

Nice iron but could be easier to use

 and you have to hold it for a lot longer than it tells you to so you don't burn your hair. and you have to use a TON of hairspray so it will stay.

 The current iron, that I loved began failing to close at the tip. The spring opening and closing flipped out. I tried to place it in the original position. All the great features no longer exist if the iron becomes unusable in 4 month

 I will save all the paperwork and return if the product demonstrates the same durability of the spring.

 A curling iron is necessary, for permanents will not hold. I bought the curling Iron to prepare for a surgery (4 mos.). Past purchase of the iron presented the same problem; however, past irons were greater than 2 years

the adjustable heat makes it special

I got this curling iron because I really want curly hair. Well, I got it, and I thought it wasn't worth anything at first because it wasn't curling my hair, but I tried it on my friend who happens to have slightly longer hair than shoulder length and it made PERFECT curls! I was amazed because the curls were beautiful. So if I were you I would only buy if I had long hair, but i'm keeping it for when my hair grows longer. It also is fairly priced
