 This board's got pop where it counts So the sweet spot for pressing on this board isn't the biggest. It's pretty much about Two to four centimeters back from the up kick. Just where that rocker zone is That's where you want to get your weight when you're buttering out over the nose or the tail and it's gonna lock in and there's Gonna be a little bit of fight It wants to rebound but overall if you know how to manhandle a board you're gonna be fine You're gonna be able to manipulate it how you want If you're one of those guys that's been riding rocker and you don't know how to press well It's time to learn how with that said jibbing is this board's strong suit I mean think who rides this jet Anderson. He's the king of the jibs So this thing locks into presses, but it still gives you that snap out at the end of the feature So you're gonna be able to do like a nose press pop out do a tail press pop out When you get sideways it hugs right around the feature perfectly doesn't clap out

 You don't have to worry about it Once again, it's a jib board This is what it's designed for and it's a jib board that has snap Which is even better because you don't have to worry about it being a soggy noodle or making your presses look soggy If you know what you're doing at the end of the day, it's a jib board with camber So you can't really expect it to be like a full carving machine The nice thing is it's nimble edge to edge You notice that smooth transition from toe to heel and with the flex you can Lay a trench every now and then if you really want to but short tight quick setup turns or those medium elongated carves where you're kind of just going around things are really a strong suit what's nice is that you can engage it from the center back if you really want to to push it out of a turn just to Get a little more power and if you know what you're doing, you won't overpower it But if you're one of those guys that doesn't quite understand what the flex is gonna do you're gonna overpower It's gonna kick out of the car when it's on edge. There are limitations to it You want to know exactly how much pressure you're putting in because you can overpower it So who's this board for the jib kid that likes snap? It has been a hot minute since I've been on the kink and this thing doesn't disappoint I love the shape of it. The flex pattern is great. You got snap where you want it It's just a good all-around jib board with snap, which I feel like we're kind of lacking in that department We've kind of gone super floppy noodled or else More that middle-of-the-road park board that you can still kind of jib on this is this is just a solid jib board They can kind of handle everything you throw at it

 The rebound is there This is a board that can pop over a slow sign, launch off of a roller And when you go in the park and you hit jumps, it doesn't fold on you small medium jumps It's totally fine You can even hit bigger ones if you're capable of doing that not really have to worry about it too much You notice that there is just really good rebound and load that just engages off that tail so that you can really spring off the lip Or off the flats. Snowboard buying suggestion.

 Hello snowboarders of the internet, I'm your host Averin LeFevre and in this video we'll be reviewing the Ride Kink. This board is available in 147, 151, 155, 154 wide and 158 wide. This board features Ride's twin hybrid camber which is traditional camber into a very minimal rocker zone out in the tip and the tail. This gives you the snap and drive of a traditional camber underfoot but you get a little bit more play and I stress that just a little bit more play out in the tip and the tail

 I rode this board at Copper Mountain on a spring day that was kind of just a mix of everything. You had chunder snow, icy snow, bluebird skies, overcast skies, some wind, no wind, slush, ice, crap, people in the way. And I rode these with my K2 Thraxis boots and my K2 Indy bindings. This board comes in with a flex that makes it a slightly stiffer gym stick so it's not a full blown noodle but it's not a middle of the road park board, it's somewhere in the middle there

 This board snaps from edge to edge. It's very easy to engage. It carves well. I mean, for a jib board, the side cut is fucking super dialed in this board

The Ride Kink Snowboard Review

I want to get into Park riding this years, specifically jibbing. I would consider myself an intermediate-advanced snowboarder that has mostly ridden all mountain snowboards for the past 15 years and can shred the entire mountain with no problem. The only aspect I severely lack is rails/jibs and jumps in the park and I would like to progress in this area this season. I would rate my ability to ride rails and boxes at a 1-2 out of 10 so pretty poor. What would you recommend for someone in my situation, an advanced snowboarder that is a beginner in the park? I am mainly looking for a jib focused board that can hit small to medium sized jumps without bottoming out. Buttering and ground tricks are always fun too, but I don't want it to be too noodley or too stiff. I am 5'10, 185 with a size 11 boot so I think I would need something with at least 255mm width preferably 260mm. I am looking between the 152-156cm range. Please let me know what you recommend for sizing for a beginner in the park.

Based on the research I've done these are the boards I am considering:

* Capita Ultrafear
* Saloman Huck Knife
* GNU Headspace
* Bataleon Evil Twin

That being said, I am afraid to get a board that is tailored to the advanced park rider as I think it will be too stiff for me and won't allow me to have a natural progression. If there are other boards I should consider please let me know.
