 It's designed for all my freestyle use for beginning to advanced level riders, anyone can ride it. This is a new piece to the line which I really like because of its asymmetry. It has a medium style flex but at the same time it can be a little bit stiffer because the ankle strap can be in a couple of different adjustments which is kind of cool because you can set the ankle strap a little bit lower and you can set it a little bit higher in case you want more support. As you can see this vice features a really unique style base plate, it's a dual component style system

 The upper section which is kind of this brass copper color is actually aircraft grade aluminum. The lower section is kind of a short glass nylon composite, you'll notice that there's a lot more support on the medial side of the binding than there is on the lateral side. Now the vice is really good at being toe to heel edge like quick but at the same time because of that asymm style upper section and because of the v-rod style base plate shape it actually helps the board to twist in a little bit more natural shape. The v-rod actually lifts up the lateral toe side edge and the medial heel side edge so it actually kind of rolls a little bit better when you're pressing your board or just kind of driving through a turn

I started snowboarding last season and came to really enjoy it. I rented all season and would identify as an intermediate boarder. Towards the end, I was going down blue runs without issue and even did a few blacks cautiously. I plan to buy all new gear for this season, I could use some help with recommendations. Budget is not really an issue, I recently got a big promotion so I am looking to buy myself something nice.

I am mostly looking for general boarding, and improving to become comfortable on blacks and maybe tackle some double blacks. I may also go to the park once in a while, but I primarily plan to just ride down the mountain. I understand a stiffer board, bindings, boots are better for speed and stability. So I've figured something more stiff than not, but not maximum stiffness.

I just bought RIDE 2022 Deadbolt Zonal (9.5M US) (Flex 7) snowboarding boots today.

<p>EDIT: I really liked the never summer, I think a big part of it is the graphic lol. But there is too many people telling me that is a mistake. Really torn here tbh, but I think I&#39;ll just have to find another cool board from the recommendations here. I&#39;d really hate to make a mistake with my first snowboard purchase.</p>

Snowboard &amp; Bindings Recommendation

 The straps certainly don't skimp out either. The ultra-light ankle strap is injected with some pretty plush EVA foam that offers a lot of comfort and support. You can see just how soft and supple this is so they'll really not limit any of that mobility when you're strapped in but they're backed up with this more rigid spine which helps to keep a little more structure and reactivity in the strap. The pivot mount system which you can see here allows you to configure up to 16 different ankle strap positions depending on your riding style

 If you want to enable maximum mobility around the ankles you can position the strap much lower down on the boot or if you're wanting to up the edge to edge response and get a more precision focused feel you can move the straps higher up the cuff of the boot and that's going to give you that more immediate response. The toe strap features the same auxetic pattern that you get in Rome's most premium bindings like the katanas or the black labels and I really believe these are the best fitting and most secure straps in the game right now. They make a great addition to the vice bindings as they allow you to ride with total confidence that that strap is never going to slide loose or slip down during your run. If you're wanting the absolute best in all mountain freestyle performance with near unlimited customization options then do check out our video review of the Rome katana bindings but in terms of a binding that still delivers on all of that at a price point that's arguably a lot more competitive the vice is a worthy contender as one of the best freestyle minded bindings we've ridden all year

You can see here how much torsional flex it's got and that pairs really well with the more forgiving and playful nature of the vice's platform. There's still some solid rebound from heel to toe edge and that's thanks to the large surface area that supports and contours the back of your boots but really these things are very much designed to get pretty loose with your riding

I’m stoked for this season, it’s been a few years since I’ve boarded and I’m moving to a place where that’ll be nearly everyday. 
I always had trash gear as a kid like most
But I’m investing in good gear this year, 
I’ve got a capita ultra fear for the park and some free styling 
&amp; a directional powder shredder for my all mountain board
Just looking to know what bindings you folks would fit those two different styles
Currently leaning towards strata’s for my all mountain, not sure for my ultra fear 
Some person experience accounts would be great 🤞

I'm speaking from experience I had those bindings they are only good for the beginnerest of beginners. You are playing a dangerous game though in that you need to make sure the aftermarket disc will fit the binding you decide on. If it were me I would just buy a nice quality set of bindings like rome vice on sale and store them after you figure out what size boot you need.

I have a 2009 Burton Indie (friend sold to me for $50, in good condition with good pop and camber, has been a fun first board to use) but the bindings are Burton Freestyle large, and I wear size 10 boots and may downsize to 9.5 for my next pair. I think I need medium bindings, Bc to get my heel fully back in the cup I go way over the heel side edge, with my bindings moved as far toward toeside as the screws allow. 

Are there any bindings I can get that fit the Burton 3D model, but will be able to transfer to a new board eventually? The other main styles are 2x4 and 4x4 right? I’m an early intermediate rider, and I want these to last for a while.

This will be my third season, about 60 days on so far. I just moved to PNW (Seattle). Mainly all-mountain, carving, some freestyle (side hits, jumps, ollies, basic stuff just having fun). I've been riding a Salomon Huck Knife / Burton Mission setup. It was all stolen recently (rip) so now I am getting new gear. 

Was looking into the Yes Standard 2023 and the Yes Standard Uninc 2023. Thoughts? I think I am set on purchasing the Uninc since I have been progressing nicely and would like to try a more advanced full camber board. I am still open to other boards, though. If you have any recommendations, let me know!

Also, what bindings would fit the Uninc best? I am considering Union Force / Atlas / Strata, or maybe Burton Malavita?

Also, if anyone has any tips on snowboarding in the PNW, please let me know! I am still new this sport :)

I just picked up a 2023 Yes. Typo a few days ago, and was curious what binding i should pair with this board. I was leaning towards Now Pilots or Now IPO but want your suggestions. 

I'm an intermediate rider, mostly do resort runs, barely any POW and maybe some park in the future.

Im getting a Rome warden 2021 board because I’m gonna be riding all mountain, a little bit of switch, gonna hit a little park/natural jumps so I’ve found it fits very well

-Arbor spruce
-Burton cartel

Any input on what I should get for bindings?
