I did a bunch of research on good cross country skis and these kept popping up on lists. As long as you are able to pinch and turn the knob in front to attach your boots, you are good. I’ve been using these to go up some hills and down and so far so good. I feel good on them

 Once I have better control. I’m a newish skier and am very pleased with these. Got lots of use in our snowy fall herein Montana.

 So a wood core in this ski, nice to have a wood core on a ski like this. Remains relatively light, but you get that nice support. We also get a partial metal edge in this ski. So that's really where that stability is coming from

 You're just looking to get out, kind of shuffle around, and have a good time. So really cool ski, kind of blurs the line between like a traditional classic cross-country ski and more of a backcountry oriented cross-country ski. So really, really cool. Rossignol's Tournamic binding system too

 We also get a partial metal edge in this ski. So that's really where that stability is coming from. So say you're skiing some ungroomed, challenging terrain, or just ungroomed, variable conditions. Having a metal edge really is a confidence inspiring feature

 It's okay that it's not the fastest, most efficient ski in the world. This skier is probably not concerned with how fast their 5K times are or something like that. You're just looking to get out, kind of shuffle around, and have a good time. Great skis for me, versatile in all situations, I could manage them. I don't exactly know why but they just feel great and I don't fall and I like going down hills again. The last time I used them it was ice and they still felt great.

These skis were a gift for my wife. She had picked them out so I found them on a wish list and just bought them. I don't have any first-hand experience with them but she has used them a couple of times now and loves them.

The skis are great; the bindings are OK. They are step-in with manual release. I find the manual release just fine, but the step-in feature does not work well. Better to just manually open the bar-catch, place your foot/boot, and manually close the bar-catch

Great ski / good binding

I bought this ski with the Rossignol NNN bindings installed and had them out for 5 skis, each about 5 miles per ski. Today, I was skiing in a few inches of powder with a crusty layer underneath. Going down a slight hill I caught the ski tip on the crust, propelling me forward and breaking the plastic binding. Honestly was not that surprised - I weigh 190lbs and just looking at the very light plastic binding I was not confident it would last

Flimsy bindings

I bought a pair of the Evo OT skis with bindings last winter.  I wanted a ski to use when skiing with my dogs on ungroomed trails in Millcreek Canyon in Utah.  The trail is groomed once a week and can get very icy near the bottom of the trail.  The Evo OT performed above my expectations

The Partial Metal Edge is key!

Bought this to do our local XC trail and at first, when staying on the track, I struggled. As soon as I got into ungroomed trail it was awesome. This is a great off trail, or ungroomed trail ski.

Beginner cross country skier who finished a 6 mile trail in Oregon & loved these skis. They do require you to reach down to put on the boot rather than clipping in.

Fabulous skis for me as a beginner!
