 Hi, I'm Adam. I just got done skiing the Rossignol Experience 76. This is a great ski for that bare bones beginner level skier here who's really looking for something to slip and slide around on the mountain. This guy's got a lot of shape, a lot of sidecut to it, so it's very easy for you to turn

 It's very easy for you to get out of those snowplows, start linking that ski into some stronger, more parallel turns. For what this guy is and how it skis, you get a lot of value here. You really get a lot of performance to help get you up to that intermediate level. It's very soft, very forgiving

 It's got a poplar core, which gives you that super reliable feeling of being steady, but it also has a carbon in it, so that's where you get that dampness and that edge grip and that strength and everything. Again, I think this is perfect for that intermediate girl, really trying to improve her skills or just pick up some speed, or somebody who just wants to cruise.

 I did feel a little bit of chatter at higher speeds on a more difficult blue. Other than that, it was super stable and reliable.  This is definitely a dedicated frontside ski for that beginner girl, really trying to step up her game a little bit, pick up a little speed, and just cruise some groomers. Help choosing ski

 Hi, I'm Thom. I just got done skiing the all-new Rossignol Experience 76 and this is a fantastic ski for that person who's new to the sport. Maybe rented two or three times and really wants to pursue skiing, wants to commit to getting into the sport and learning good technique. This ski is definitely most at home at low speed, skidded, smeared turns

 Somebody who's starting to develop their confidence on the hill and starting to develop some technique. But surprisingly, when you tilt this ski up on edge and you use a little bit more advanced technique and drive the shovel, it gets up and it actually holds that turn shockingly well. So for somebody who's new to the sport, who's rented a handful of times and wants to go from that beginner skier to a really solid, decent intermediate that can cruise most blues at moderate paces, this is a great ski to do it.

 This is a 399 system ski. Ski is really great for that bare bones beginner, someone who's looking to ditch the hand me downs, the rentals, whatever. Full wood core, so it's going to be easy edge to edge. Holds a great edge, but it will, again, this is a beginner ski so when you do get it to edge, don't push it too much, it'll get too chattery in the tips

I'd consider the Rossignol Experience 88s in the 166 cm length.  They make skiing on groomers feel easy, and can dip around moguls fine, especially at a 166.

Seems like most of the skis that fall into the 'best of' categories are not sized for shorter skiers like myself and also the logic around waist sizing may not apply so well either.  I'm 5'5 (165cm) 120 lbs.  Consider myself an intermediate skier and spend most of my time on blue runs and enjoy hitting bumps about half of the day and crusing groomed runs the rest here in Oregon/Mt Hood. Any recommendations either for a single quiver ski or maybe two options for more versatility?  Should I be looking for a softer ski vs stiff given my weight and desire to occasionally be in moguls? Less than 88cm waist? Appreciate any feedback.
