Graduating from my noobie gear after about 20 days of riding last season. Had a 156 Rome rocker/flat/rocker board with a medium flex. I spent those 20 days in size 10 boots for a size 9 foot, so I was dealing with a lot of heal lift and my toes were curling to push onto toe side. I picked up Burton Photons + Step On Genesis and they fit awesome, so that problem is solved. I don't know how to define my style, but I want a board for goofing around on while also being able to expand my reach on the mountain. Right now I feel comfortable enough to go down the blues, but I'm not charging down them yet. Rather, I'm just chilling and going slower so I can really practice turns, spinning, buttering, and switch. I'm embracing learning switch from the get go, so I tend to like the twin shapes. I really just want a good riding foundation going forward so I can hit all the jumps, side hits, and embrace freestyle stuff I guess. I like the warpig for the flat rocker profile that I'm used to, but hesitate since it's directional. Not sure what a camber board feels like by comparison. The Twinpig might do it, but it's cambered and I don't know if that would be good for me and my style. I want something I can grow into, learn on, and get better on. I also looked at the Jones Mountain twin, even the mind expander. I just don't know which direction to go. I'm also staring at the Burton Custom 2023 camber board heavily...it's just so damn pretty. Any help would be great. Money is a non-issue. Just want a good all mountain board that I can continue to improve my skills on for years to come.

Warpig? Twinpig? Mountain Twin? Mind Expander? Burton Custom? Help me pick my next board.

 Always get past the knuckle. Some people aren't getting past the knuckle. With those longer rocker zones in the nose and the tail, you've just got this huge sweet spot for really buttering around on it. You can basically just roll forward or roll back, and you're into a press with it, or you can pop into it, land, and you'll feel right where the camber meets the rocker is this huge flex point, and it locks in

 The flex of this board is slightly above a middle of the road. What you do get is softer tips that are accentuated by those giant rocker zones, and then through the camber section, it's actually stiffer. There's a noticeable amount of torsional flex, which helps you with the steering of this board. When it comes to stability, you're going to get chatter from those rocker zones

 I rode this board at Copper Mountain on an overcast gray sky day with high visibility. There was cooler to warmer temps depending where you went, some moderate wind. What you had was frozen firm fast corduroy at the top of the mountain, creamy corduroy in the middle of the mountain and slush at the bottom, with some chunder, some ice, and kind of everything thrown in between for spring-like conditions, and I rode it with my Rome Black Label bindings and my K2 Thraxis boots. This board has your standard run-of-the-mill, all-mountain freestyle middle-of-the-road flex to it, so you do get softer tips, stiffer midsection, with the nose being slightly softer than the tail

There's a moderate amount of torsional flex so you can really twist it, and this board is moderately stable. At high speeds, you will get chatter that will resonate back underfoot

 When you do that, what you're going to notice is that right where the camber meets the rocker, you've got this ideal flex point that you can balance your weight on and still retain that snap to pop out of it. If you want to swivel and sizzle, you can totally swivel and sizzle. Just be aware you're going to have some rebound. It doesn't necessarily fight you, but it wants to pop out of any variation that you do

 What's nice about this board is you do have that rocker in the nose and the tail, so if you're really lazy, you can just roll back on the tail or roll forward on the nose and butter. I like to pop into my stuff or try to get sideways and really flex into it. The 2022 Rossignol Revenant Snowboard Review

Hello fellow snowboarders!

Midwesterner here that fell in love with the sport. All last season I rented but want to officially buy. I will mostly ride in the Midwest with some (10% of the time) riding in the west. I am a beginner to intermediate snowboarder. Ive mostly stayed away from the park and will likely stay away for the time being. Of the below boards, which would be the best pick for my skill level / price. As a note, all the boards listed could be had for around $300 which is my budget. 

1. 2022 bataleon Goliath
2. 2018 NS Funslinger ($200)
3. 2022 burton process Flying V
4. 2022 burton skeleton key
5. 2022 Nitro Team gullwing
6. 2022 Salomon huck knife

Ultimately I want a one quiver board since there is limited riding in the Midwest. I don’t plan to be super hardcore but love using it as an a too the in the winter.
