These are, again, tangible evidence of the help we get, being able to just request these and all three of them come in.22 single action, without paying the price you have to pay for a Colt if you could find one of those, or even a Single 6, they make the new Single 6, and it's fairly expensive, I think, maybe for a starter gun, so that's kind of what you have here, a less expensive version of that. So we'll wrap up with some rounds going off, how's that? I'll fire six more, and by the way it has the transfer bar, I meant to point that out, so you see that's the thing you get with the modern single actions, so when you drop the hammer, you pull the trigger, it's against that transfer bar that pushes the firing pin, okay, and I've got a video called Hick Hawk Was Wrong, or something like that, it's the first one of those we've done, where I was kind of making up for explaining this backwards because some firearms are just the opposite, some of them keep the hammer off the firing pin, this one transfers energy through that bar there, the transfer bar, so if I let off the trigger, look what happens, it disappears, so the hammer goes down and it doesn't push the firing pin enough, okay, so you have to have that bar up there for it to work, and it only is there if the trigger is pulled, so I let off the trigger, if I let the hammer fall, it would not fire, see you got that with these guns too, okay, so what did I say I was going to fire? Yeah, six more, and then make you go away, how's that, oh yeah, the reason I even brought that up, I meant to do it anyway, but I normally load five in cold signal actions, the old action of course, but since this is a 22 and it has the transfer bar, you can load as many as you want, you can carry it in a holster and hit the hammer, it's not going to fire, the trigger has to be pulled, as I just showed you, for these to fire, trigger has to be pulled, okay, otherwise it will not go bang, so you can put six in there and carry it, let's put a couple on that propane tank, how's that, oh you know what, we've not put one on or tried the gong have we, let's try the gong, I'm not sure where I'd have to hold, I'll try to listen for it, see if I hit it, I don't think I got it, I don't know, I thought I heard it the first time, let's try the propane tank with the last couple, click, yeah, sometimes it's hard to hear if it doesn't hit it very hard, I may not have hit it at all, I thought I heard a little ringing on the first one, might have just been the ringing in my ears, so yeah, single action, 22, the Wrangler, okay, that seems to bring cowboys to mind doesn't it, the Wrangler, pretty cool name, so anyway that's, I can't come up with a lot of negatives, it just sort of is what it is, it's a low end, inexpensive 22 single action, you know with a cast frame and grip and everything and trigger guard, and I guess the housing on the barrel is cold hammer forged, even though it's a big thick barrel, I guess it doesn't seem to be sleeved, so I'm assuming they mean the entire barrel is cold hammer forged, it's steel, just like the chamber or the cylinder, so yeah, unless all that bothers you, it might be something you want to look at if you're contemplating a single action 22, so it looks pretty nice, and you've got three choices if you don't like this particular one, so I don't know, you know the fit is fine, it's not exquisite or anything, I have some firearms where the grips are better fit, you know, and everything, but they're a whole lot more expensive right, so the Ruger Wrangler 22 long rifle, there it is, something you might want to consider just to exercise the cowboy in you, or cowgirl in you, so glad you came by, always appreciate it, coming over here on the Gong Club, it's nice being over here in the shade on the Gong Club range, it's a great place to shoot, so we'll talk to you later, and y'all have a great evening, life is good

 Aside from that front sight issue though I do have to say this Ruger Wrangler is a very accurate gun at least in terms of consistency as long as I am using that CCI ammo. Well I really hope you enjoyed this video today. You got to see another look at the Ruger Wrangler Revolver, I know a lot of you like that. And how about that Ransom Master Series Pistol Rest, what an amazing machine that is

 Let's move on now to the Remington Thunderbolt. Well the Thunderbolt was until not as good as the CCI but much better than the Winchester with a group of about an inch and a half, maybe an inch and five eighths. Now for the last target I'm going to shoot two groups, the American Eagle because we still need to test those, but then I'm going to raise the point of aim of the gun up and shoot one more group with the CCI ammo. So I'm going to try to put the CCI at or near the bullseye

 Well let's take a look at how to put a gun into the machine. To get started, the first thing I need to do is actually remove the grips from this Ruger Wrangler. Now with the grips removed, I can put the gun into the inserts of the machine. Here's what one of the sides looks like on the pistol inserts and you can see it's molded to an exact gun

 Now for the last target I'm going to shoot two groups, the American Eagle because we still need to test those, but then I'm going to raise the point of aim of the gun up and shoot one more group with the CCI ammo. So I'm going to try to put the CCI at or near the bullseye. So let's now go for the American Eagle. And now the CCI one last time

Most affordable guns to shoot?

 What's up guys, this is Chris here and today we are going to be talking about the Ruger Wrangler. We're going to have a little short first shots with this. We're not going to put too many rounds for today, but we're going to put enough to kind of test this little bad boy out. This is a four and a half inch six shot single action 22, which is something I don't review too much on the channel, but it was so damn cheap I couldn't pass it up

 As you can see that since it is a 22, it is a smaller diameter thing going in a smaller diameter hole than something like a 357, 38, 44 Special, 44, that kind of thing. So it does take a little bit more finesse to load the actual cartridge into the cylinder and since it's like zero degrees outside and we're wearing gloves, it's kind of hard to actually fan-dangle it in there. If it was in the summer, that would not have been an issue. Another issue that we ran into a little bit here is when we're ejecting the rounds, the push rod here has a harder time finding the hole in the cylinder because, again, it is only the size of a 22

 Today, we're going to go out and shoot it with some CCI Mini Mag, and we're also going to shoot it with some Remington Golden Bullet, and we're going to see how some of the reliability and accuracy fares, and I'll give you my first impressions after that.  We got hits at 135 yards, which is pretty good, with a gun that has the most rudimentary sights possible. Just going to show that marksmanship skills transcend across all platforms. I'm not the best shooter in the world, but I ain't too bad. It just goes to show that even cheap guns are probably more accurate than you, whether you like it or not

Ruger Wrangler First Shots

Just in time for wheelgun Wednesday.

 Some of the more decked out models are a little, little pricier, but for cost savings, I imagine they wanted to keep, keep the cost down, so you get a cardboard box. But guys, we're going to move downrange and we're going to put five types of ammunition through this puppy and see what it likes to eat, and I'll see you guys back up here at the shooting table when we're done. Alright guys, we moved back here to the shooting table and I'm a little disappointed. We tried five different types of ammunition, no particular order

 And again guys, no particular order. CCI mini mags, okay. But, absolute butt crack. You know, get the, get the tape measure out here again

 I got a couple more kinds in the house but we're gonna try out five kinds of ammo today. Today we're going to be taking a look at some CCI mini mags, okay, some Winchester Super X, some CCI Stingers, some CCI Standard Velocity, and some Federal Champion. Had an afterthought, I probably should have brought some rat shot out here and maybe we could have shot some balloons or something with some rat shot. Maybe we'll do that next time

 Probably definitely a good six inch group. Again, CCI stingers at 10 yards guys. CCI standard velocity, also just straight butt crack, okay. Not acceptable guys

 So if you want to get your little missus, a little snake charmer for around the house, throw some rat shot in this puppy, you know it'd probably make a good little snake gun for around the garden, around the place. But taking a look at this puppy here, we're gonna go down range and we're gonna shoot five different kinds of ammunition. I got a couple more kinds in the house but we're gonna try out five kinds of ammo today. Today we're going to be taking a look at some CCI mini mags, okay, some Winchester Super X, some CCI Stingers, some CCI Standard Velocity, and some Federal Champion

 Now you have to remember, these sights aren't adjustable. That's one reason why the price is so low cos it's not very expensive, but it is more expensive to manufacture sights that you can adjust. So you're gonna have to learn if you've never shot a revolver with just a rear notch and a front blade sight, you have to learn the point of aim. All three of the revolvers that they sent me all shot a little bit different

 There are other manufacturers that price point the revolvers out there at that price range and in my opinion, this revolver looks a thousand times better cosmetically and in my opinion, it's much more accurate. All three of the ones that I own all shot really, really well. Now you have to remember, these sights aren't adjustable. That's one reason why the price is so low cos it's not very expensive, but it is more expensive to manufacture sights that you can adjust
