Hey everyone, I'm still fairly new to snowboarding so I'd say somewhere between beginner and intermediate. I had a hand me down board for the past 2-3 seasons to learn and practice on and no longer have that board anymore... believe it was from 5th element. I'm a female about 5'7 and around 115 lbs. Not quite sure where to start or what exactly to look for when buying a new board but looking for something to use on your usual ski mountains and generally free ride. My stance is regular and I'm probably going to need bindings too. Not looking for something super expensive but just something I can continue to learn and improve on. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi all, looking for some snowboard recs.

 So although it's primarily a park board, you are going to get performance that's going to work great over the rest of the mountain. Now that all-terrain performance is also enhanced by the rock out camber profile. So basically what rock out camber is, places like a long rocker zone under the contact points at the tip and at the tail. Now that long rocker zone just lifts those contact points clear, give the board a more playful skate-like feel

 So every single model in this range has a real consistent flex and just going to deliver the perfect performance every time. Now within that Aspen Select Core, it also kind of features the popster booster milling. Now what popster booster is, is they actually mill the core into different thicknesses through the length. So you've got thicker zones under the feet, a thick zone in the middle and thinner zones at the tail

 So built around a fully balanced twin tip shape, the Gypsy's primarily been designed to deliver outstanding performance in the park. So what that means is that Salomon's designers have kind of cut away any excess material from the tip and tail of the board. By removing excess material, you're cutting back what we call the swing weight. So the swing weight is really kind of what happens when you kind of got weight at the end of the board

 Now for what is fundamentally a park board, the Gypsy also has quite a bit of upturn at the nose and tail. Now that upturn, although not massively affecting the swing weight of the board, it actually does make the Gypsy a lot more versatile than a traditional kind of low rise jib board normally is. So although it's primarily a park board, you are going to get performance that's going to work great over the rest of the mountain. Now that all-terrain performance is also enhanced by the rock out camber profile

I'm a 31 year old woman, and somewhat athletic. If I'm not playing sports I hike, run, weight lift, etc...

I'm a new snowboarder and have gone snowboard around 4 times. I'm very new so I haven't really go comfortable boarding straight and doing the weaves I see comfortable riders do. Also, I'm naturally a switch boarder. Many people have been pointing that out about me observing the way I ride, so I know a one directional board would not be ideal for me (direction twin or true twin would be good).

 I'm buying my first snowboard and was wondering if I could learn snowboard on a medium stiff board with rocker/camber/rocker, labeled intermediate-expert rider. I want to get to the point I can do jumps, aerial tricks, and can go fast down the slopes. I'm also interested in backcountry skiing. I feel like a soft board would lose its edge after regular practice and I would get board and want something more sturdier within the same season that I'm practicing a lot. 

Can you give me advice on this?

Buying my first snowboard

 The profile on it is rock out camber, which is flat in between the feet, going to camber, and then rocker on the tip and the tail of the snowboard. What happens is when you push on it, the tip and the tail come up, kind of creating that rocker effect on both. So the contact points of here come pretty far, about right here, so flat, and then the camber starts going down towards the snow. You see that? Yeah, right there

 The Salomon Gypsy is the gybing park board. You can see right there.
