 I've got to say I really, really do like these true wireless earbuds, but if you don't have all this Samsung gear to go with it and the likes of the Galaxy Watch, your Samsung smartphone of course, to really enjoy the full range of features as well as that top quality audio, well it's not worth that money, instead I would say maybe go for the Pixel Buds Pro or maybe the Huawei Buds, something else a little bit more affordable instead. Anyway, that's what I reckon. What do you guys think? Definitely be great to your thoughts down in the comments below.  Vocals really shine as well, so great news for podcasts and audiobook lovers especially, and if you're enjoying a bit of video on your Disney+, your Netflix or anything like that, you've got full Dolby Atmos support here as well for a nice cinematic surround sound experience. So overall, while I also enjoyed the sound quality of the Google Pixel Buds, the Buds 2 Pro certainly win if, again, you've got a Samsung smartphone, especially as the Pixel Buds, they didn't support LDAC or aptX HD or any of those top end codecs that you would expect from a pair of premium true wireless earbuds. And now it's time for a jolly spiffing old mic test and I'm recording this audio using the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro built-in microphones, just a nice quiet studio environment here, but I have found that they work really well when out and about as well, even with a lot of background noise, and just to prove that point. I'm now recording this portion of the audio sample while stood next to my speaker which is blaring out really loud traffic sounds, and as you can hear, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro microphone is still clearly picking up my voice despite all of that background noise

 Hello gorgeous peeps, I'm Chris from TechSperm and today we're going to be reviewing these gorgeous wee purple beauties right here, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. At £219 these true wireless earbuds are even more expensive than the already pretty bloody pricey £179 Google Pixel Buds, while offering a lot of the same features including ANC, assistant integration, yadda yadda. But you've also got 24-bit audio support with certain Samsung blowers, you've got Bluetooth 5.3 support, a bit of Bixby action if that's a good thing

 But these things can actually be submerged in water as well and still survive. But, and it is a pretty big but, if you want to enjoy that top quality 24-bit audio, you will need a Samsung smartphone running the latest One UI 4. And I've got to say, on the default settings, I really enjoyed the audio that was being spaffed into my lug holes, certainly the likes of metal, rock, got a bit of hip hop as well, all sounded great. Some nice respectable bass from something so dinky, but it didn't drown out the higher end output

Yet another show off, however, I will be sharing brief impressions for each.

**JDS LABS Atom - AMP&DAC+**

Lots of power, no coloring, does the job well. Cant compare it with same level combo's but, after Fiio E10, those are superb upgrade for me.

**Drop HD6XX + Sheepskin Pads**

Authority on the table. Great neutrality. Decent bass (Will get back to that later). Requires a lot of power, therefore hard to drive. Not something you would plug into a phone or a sound card. Wide soundstage and silky vocals. Whoever is interested in these, probably knows what to expect but, it's not something you would wear for fun listenings (like bassy electronic music)

**ATH-M50 (Not X)**

Its been on my table for around 10 years. Absolute tanks. Impressive bass response. Kills HD6XX in bass department. V shaped monitors(??). Probably my preference as most enjoyed sound among these. Everybody should listen to this at full volume once in their life time. JD Labs turns them into a small set of speakers :D

**Koss KPH30i**

I bought the hype, actually. Its a 30 dollars headphone. Nothing so special about this. Clear sound, thats for sure. Bass is not that impressive, which is expected though. Might look further about the grado pads upgrade, not sure worths the hassle..

**KZ ZS10 Pro + Foam eartips**

Another hype purchase (thanks Zeos). But these are incredible earphones. Clarity, soundstage, being easy to drive, bass (wow), vocals, trebles. I didnt expect it to be that good. JDS makes turns these into jet engine noise levels. Almost torn my eardrums once accidentally. Had tinnitus for a while.

**Sony 1000-xm3**

Comfortable to wear. Good noise cancellation. Soundwise, not close to the big boys on the table but, accaptable. Pretty V shaped, fun to listen. My go to on public transport and noisy places.

**Plantronics Backbeat 500**

There is something strangly good about these. It could be that these produce pretty well sub 50HZ response on low volumes. It sounds like JAMO speakers to me. Warm sound, nice low end.. But yeah, to be honest, this is a BT headphone you would chose for a birthday gift.

**Klipsh - The Fives**

Out of topic but, these are small yet powerfull speakers. Being an active speaker, it saves me a lot of hassle of having an amp, thick speaker cables, hifi furniture etc. It produces nice bass, however the trable is a bit weak. It definetely needs EQ correction on high frequencies. Good soundsage and great at low volumes

Whatsapp calls, team meetings, uncritical listening, public transport. Everywhere everyday. This is a piece of gear I always carry with me. I dont really care about the sound quality for those use cases but, these are actually not that bad.

**Cooler Master - MH630**

Bought it for gaming an discord calls but, these have issues with its microphone, picking up the sound of headphones. Not a driver or software issue. Sound? I dont know. Didnt pay that much attention nor listened to music with these. But in games, it performed well.

Yikes. Leather pads on 6xx. Other stuff looks pretty bad except for kph30i. JDS Labs Atom isn't the best but in the EU is probably the only option available right now.

What tips are you using on the KZ ZS10 Pro ?  Defiantly my favorite of the chi-fi hype purchases.  I don't listen to much rock or electronic by when I do it's usually on these.  Just plain fun

My take on.. these

 If the IconX's volume got an 8, I would say the galaxy buds get to 7.75. Bass is good enough as is treble. The mids are alright too; I'm not a huge audiophile but they sound very nice

  3. Noise Isolation - top notch; they filter out sound quite well. I will say the ambient sound feature on them is CRAP compared to the IconX's; the IconX's ambient sound was much better. If you care about that sort of thing

 I love going out for a run/jog and not have to take my phone OR smartwatch. I would pay for that; I think others would too.  With the removal of the volume swipe, the tap and hold scroll through list, lesser battery and sound that isn't any better than last year's model I'd have a hard time recommending these over the IconX model. The comfort, fit, smaller size, wireless charging case, and multiple color options are about the only things the new buds have going for them

 These ones have the auto switch. So like with a similar galaxy device, your galaxy phone, your galaxy watch, your galaxy book. You can like switch between them easily. Sort of like the AirPods do with Apple

 We got a little box with what, a charging cord. That is USB-C, of course. Anything else is unacceptable these days. Apple

 Touch and hold will switch noise controls or you can customize it. That's good. I'll give them big points for that because oftentimes these earbuds have controls on them, which are great, but you can't customize them. That's good to see

My mom (late 50s) wants to upgrade to wireless earbuds for her phone (Nokia 7.1 iirc) since she's starting to have issues with the connector of her super cheap old wired earbuds. Her main use would be phone calls so microphone quality is a priority. She only listens to podcast and music very occasionally, so they don't have to have great audio quality, just serviceable/acceptable.

Another main priority is stability and ease of use. My mom isn't very good with tech stuff so obviously I wouldn't want her to have to fiddle around with devices that constantly unpair/unsync/glitch out etc. With a budget of under 100$ (between 50-80 would be ideal) what are your recommendations? I was checking out the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 but I'm concerned by the very contrasting reviews, especially regarding connection stability and call quality.

Decent wireless earbuds for my mom under 100$?

  My pic is of them plugged into my computer so you can see the cable. I had a hard time getting an idea of this when looking at reviews myself. Hope it helps.

 I only plan to use these for passive listening yet the app insists on access to my contacts and all data/files on my phone. Ugh.  Anyway, if you're patient enough to fiddle with these things (finding the manual to figure out how to work them, what lights mean, and discovering there's an app) you'll be fine and these are a really nice pair of noise cancelling, workout friendly, ambient noise adjustable headphones that fit small ears just fine. If you want it just to work, find a patient friend who doesn't mind doing all those previous steps for you

Great tech, poor setup info

 This is the Galaxy Buds review. So I've been waiting for technology to slim down, cut cords, and be forgettable in a way for a long time. And these $129 Galaxy Buds were my shiny gleam of hope towards that in the Android ecosystem. Now, I've tried AirPods

 Like, this is super cool. I've been traveling all week and when I left, I only had to bring one USB-C cable. Every night when I plug in the S10+, I just pop these on top and everything charges at the same time. That's freaking cool and I'm all about it

Since I was charging them with my phone each night, I never really had a problem with the battery dying

 But with these Galaxy Buds, they totally lost sight of those necessities. Wireless charging, a great and compact design, these are all things I want. But what I need is good audio quality and a solid microphone. And yes, the AirPods exist and they are most of those things

IEMs for gym/working out?

 I think I'd go so far as to say these are the best sounding, non-noise canceling wireless earbuds I've tried. These are the truth right now. Honestly, it makes me kind of wish I brought them out on the channel sooner. I don't really have anything bad to say about these, but I'm going to nitpick because that's what you do and that's how you get products to be better the next time around

 The fit in my ears is really good. The microphones are pretty good and then the case is great. Just checks all the boxes. It's like now that you know about these, you might decide, oh, okay, what I know I like, I want to spend more because I want noise cancellation and then you can go get active noise cancellation

 So for flying and mass transit and construction and loud stuff, maybe this isn't the way to go, but generally for everyday use, pretty good. So they're comfortable, then they have a legitimate best-in-class 11-hour battery life for music listening, which is mostly what I do with earbuds and that's great, and fast charging. But honestly, being able to go a full week of casual listening and not having any battery anxiety till like the last day of the week is awesome. And then speaking of charging, the case these sit in are also pretty textbook

 Just checks all the boxes. It's like now that you know about these, you might decide, oh, okay, what I know I like, I want to spend more because I want noise cancellation and then you can go get active noise cancellation. You spend a bit more and there's plenty of options for those like the Sony's and AirPods Pro, or you might go, you know what, I like these, but I also want them to be more workout focused headphones. Then you go for something with better waterproofing or more of the wingtip fit in the ear stuff like the Jaybirds or Powerbeats
