- Battery Life: Battery Life just sucks for me to be honest. I was using a Pixel 4a before the 6 Pro and before that an Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus (Exynos Version).

The new stereo speakers are more successful: they are louder, clearer, and more enjoyable to listen to than the S8’s single speaker. Samsung is playing catch-up here — many other phones have had stereo speakers for years now — but I’m glad to see (and hear) them finally on a Galaxy phone. They aren’t the best speakers I’ve heard on a phone, but they are more than good enough.

) It’s fair to say that at this point, Bixby is a colossal failure as a smartphone assistant.

The size of the battery and internal storage are unchanged: you get a 3,000mAh battery in the S9 and a 3,500mAh battery in the S9 Plus, with 64GB of storage and microSD card support in both. I’d really have liked to see Samsung increase the battery size this year. The battery life isn’t bad on these phones, but it’s merely average, and heavy users will deplete even the S9 Plus’ large battery after a long day.

Performance, at least during my review, has been great: the phone is snappy and responsive, with smooth scrolling and fast app launches. The network performance has also been just as impressive as the S8’s, and noticeably better than my experience with the iPhone.

The Galaxy S9 is all of the good and all of the bad we’ve come to expect from Samsung

Half a year I posted a free gym workout tracker app I made for Android/Web: My Work in Progress. At the time it was just a hobby project I worked on during the pandemic so my buddies and I could log our workout progress in a way that was tailor-made to suit our gym-rat needs.  Basically: intuitive graphs, easy interface, logging RPE/RIR, customizable, no ads/subscriptions, etc. Fast forwarding to recently, I was happily surprised that the app turned out be quite helpful for others here in the reddit community as well!

Since then, I've been implementing lots of the feedback I received from the community and wanted to share this progress with you all in case you would also find the app useful for your workout tracking. The app is free to use / has no subscriptions / etc and no ads and I intend to keep it that way :)

**Here are the current main features of the app:**

\- Design your own custom workout routines for different types of exercises (weight &amp; time, weight, time, distance &amp; time, etc.)  
\- Create workout plans (plan workout sets ahead &amp; add supersets).  
\- Activate workout-mode when you enter the gym. This tracks your progress live while you workout with real-time graphs and statistics to visualize your progress.  
\- Tons of statistics and different graphs to visualize your progress.  
\- Add notes to your workouts and logs.  
\- See suggestions for your next personal record while logging sets for an exercise.  
\- Create goals for exercises.  
\- Rest timer.  
\- Log Rated Perceived Exertion (RPE) and Reps in Reserve (RIR).  
\- Calendar and list of your previous workouts.  
\- Track custom body metrics like weight, BMI, arm/leg size, etc.  
\- Supports both metric and imperial units.  
\- And much more :)

An advanced gym workout tracker app for the fitness community made by a gym rat

Very happy with the phone but be careful... (TL;DR: Phone wasn't completely unlocked but I got lucky)

My current phone, Samsung Galaxy S9+ is starting to give me problems. The battery life is not terrible, but still pretty bad. I charge it more than once a day. It lags when I'm using it sometimes and can get quite warm at times

  I was worried about battery life, but so far the battery is quite a bit better than my S8's ever was. I can go all day for about 12 to 14 hours with a decent amount of use and still have 50% battery life remaining. My S8 would have needed to be on a charger long before this one.  Unfortunately I have not really given the camera a workout yet

I think I am in love again
