What are some good 'mini' android tablets?

The closest I've found was the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.4" *w/ S Pen*. It's a tablet from 2019, but it has a strong enough processor, a decent amount of RAM and storage, and most importantly to me, it has a display that's >1080p and runs Android 11. It seems like what we're looking for is an Android version of the iPad Mini 5th Gen, but I for one am not willing to settle for iPad OS.

An OK tablet but nothing exciting.

This is an OK tablet. A little slow and also a step back reverting to the charging connection. Went from the C (fits any way) to the older version of a one way fit. Seems silly to move backward in technology. Colors also don't seem as bright as my older model.

It's fine, I read the news, a book, comics, watch a show while I cook. It's a fine tablet.

Definitely more of an e-reader than a tablet

Got this for my wife to use as an e-reader after using mine for awhile. It works perfect for that. Not so great for much else. The memory is low and kinda slow for getting on the internet or playing certain games.
