So once again a huge thank you to our friends over at samsung for sending us the odyssey neo g9.

And so this all leads me on to my verdict, what do I make about the Samsung Odyssey G9?

Flicker immersion breaking. it's there it's prominent, little things bother me, this is quite annoying to me as well, I want my monitor to work as it's supposed to, I don't believe them fixing this as stated before, or not for a VERY long time, as it already has been a long time. Quality control This is a big one and why I do not trust samsung to fix their monitor for a long time if at all.

And it was the smartest choice I could have made. The LG 34GN850-B is just a disappointing monitor, there's simply no way around it, while the Samsung Odyssey G9 is impressive and has a strong cool-factor to it, but ultimately still pointless and also problematic in many ways. So don't feel the need to buy extremely expensive monitors just because YouTubers and people on the internet tell you to do so. Learn from my experience.

I mostly play World of Warcraft, so immersion is a big factor for me for deciding to get a Samsung Odyssey G9.. I had to get a 3rd party addon (Move Anything) to push UI elements towards the center of the screen otherwise things like my side action bars, minimap, party frames, etc, by default are on the far edges of the display forcing you to literally turn your head to see them (bad in combat/raid). Anyways, my experience with the G9 has been amazing! compared to what my friends can see (we compared screenshots) I can see so much more than them, plus the immersion factor is top notch, something very important in a MMO/RPG.
