I'm planning to buy and use c1 48 for both pc and ps5, I play heavy and casual gaming in PC and Ps5 respectively, However after seeing [this video from LS](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlH1x2rCtGU) i'm thinking of dropping this idea. Also Samsung QN90A 50 inch is $150 less than c1 which doesn't have burnin issue. So kindly help me decide. Is it okay to go for c1 inspite of burnin ?

LG C1 48 INCH VS SAMSUNG QN90A 50 INCH

The picture is gorgeous! The smart features via the Tizen system are so-so, and Tizen is the redheaded stepchild of TV operating systems. The only real PITA is the tuner for over-the-air channels, which operates kind of randomly. If I'm on channel 4 and want to get to channel 59, it takes 3-4 times to scroll to 59 because the TV wants to revert to 4. Once I get to 59 and hit the back button to go back to 4, it will go to a random channel like 30

I’m getting an LG CX to replace my old Apple Cinema Display soon, but I’m worried about burn in. I’m going to use it as a PC monitor, and I need some feedback on how likely burn in is with the way I use it.

1. I don’t use a black background, but I have a folder with about 12 different ones that change every minute.

2. I don’t hide the taskbar, but I frequently use full screen applications and the taskbar is never on screen for more than 15 minutes at a time.

3. I do play games with static UI elements (hotbars, minimaps, etc.), but they fade out every time I switch zones, so any still images will fade out of view quite often.

4. I have a screensaver turn on after 2 minutes without movement.

5. I don’t hide my desktop icons, but I almost always have a window open, plus the screensaver helps with the static icons.

With these things in mind, would you say that I should be relatively safe when it comes to burn in?

 like its a small fragile thing as well. As much as a remote is going to get used, that needs to be something robust, simple.. straight forward

55" for gaming

I have a LG B8 65 inch TV. I've had it for around two years and got around 6k hours or so used. It's an absolute wonderful television. Obviously it doesn't have the fancy hdmi 2.1 but still, great TV that's held up well. I imagine if you get one of the newer ones, you will be very happy with it.

Fwiw I have the Q90 and the LG B7 both 65”. The Q90 is in my bright room. The LG is definitely better in almost every way but I have to say the motion is far worse and you see artifacts around moving objects even in slow moving scenes. I find sports look better on the Q90, at least in my bright room. Personally I would get the Sony OLED for that reason

Not sure if the upgrade is warranted, but fyi browser-netflix/prime/disney is not HDR nor DV. not sure why as the browser itself supports HDR and there are several HDR youtube videos. 

you need either the tv apps, the pc apps, or the xbox/PS apps for HDR.

Man! I ordered a 2020 QLED Samsung and I returned it the next week. Beautiful picture but terrible scan lines and blotchy blacks for me. Especially when playing in HDR. I ordered a 2020 cx oled in place of the samsung and I'm very happy with it.

I got a 2020 Samsung Q70T at the end of last year but I am a little unhappy with it. Its not a bad TV but I just thought the HDR would be more impressive and its a little bit of a bummer how it will only do 120 FPS @ 1440P despite it being a 4K TV. 

 
Also, I have made sure that my PC is outputting HDR signal and selected the HDR option in windows settings but HDR content only looks 'HDR' when I play it through the TV app. If I play Netflix on my PC it doesn't look quite as good for some reason.

 
Has anyone gone from a newer Samsung to an OLED? Is the jump in quality noticeable and worth it? 
 

My primary use for the TV is gaming on my high end gaming PC. (Intel I9 10850K, 6800XT GPU,) and I also watch a lot of streaming content on my PC(Netflix, HBO, Prime Video, etc.)
 

I plan to pick up a PS5 when the price drops a bit.

Worth it to upgrade to a LG CX or C1 from the Samsung Q70T

First off, this TV has a great picture as well as a slick interface for the apps and smart features. If those 2 things were all that mattered this TV would have been the best I've ever owned. Which brings me to the point of my review and the reason I can only give this TV 2 stars and I feel I'm being generous with the extra star. I don't feel like anyone who would spend this kind of money for a TV would be sitting around listening to the stock speakers

We have the Samsung Q90T and the LG C9+C1. 
The Q90T was the worst TV purchase in my life (Samsung Q9FN got second place).

It simply looks worse in every aspect, especially in gaming compared to OLED. Only advantage is SDR brightness. 

The QN90A should be much better though. 

Depends on your lighting conditions. I guess if you are fine with the overall brightness of OLEDs there is really no reason why you should go with QLED.

I have a Samsung QLED Q7FN (2018 model) even though it does not have HDMI 2.1 Its an amazing display. The colors and brightness are better than my OLED but the accuracy and true blacks of my OLED are absolutely mind blowing.

I use my OLED for gaming and streaming and the Q7 for house/kids streaming. I used it for gaming before getting my B9 OLED but again, OLED is better in every way.

For kids, wifey daily streaming the Q7 is perfect as there are zero worries of burn in and they can enjoy their shows no matter how bright is the room.

Fits my needs perfectly as I would never leave and OLED for wife and kids stuff, their simply don't understand the importance of caring for the OLED panel. My wife can pause something and comeback 2 hrs later lol! Don't care if the auto screensaver of oleds kick in there's too risk involved haha!

 Why would you market two units this way and not have it work 100%?  First of all, if you are looking for a top of the line 4K HDTV just for the picture, you can't do much better than this one. The picture is spectacular and didn't require any tweaks - the Natural mode worked for everyday viewing just fine. I was amazed just watching a show like Killing Eve and seeing the amount of detail the TV brings out. No complaints there

 For this amount of money, it should work every time, all the time, and needless to say, it does not.  Samsung has apparently been promising a firmware update for some time (about 6 months) to address these issues, but as of today, nothing has been released. I'm returning this set until Samsung resolves the issues, or I may just try the LG.
